Hair Post

Many of you asked for a hair post, so here you go! I don’t do anything special to my hair, but I use either Guhl or Wella Professional Shampoo. I also really like Kérastase products, the hair treatment products are very good for dry hair. I either smooth my hair or leave it curly as it is naturally. Here are my golden hair rules: 1.  Never forget about the conditioner, it won’t do any good to your hair. 2.  Always comb your hair, even when you are too tied. 3.  Style your hair, but don’t overdo it. Don’t use too many styling products Some of my favorite hairstyles at the moment:   Every once in a while you should treat your hair with a hair mask.

It’s time for change

We guess it is time for Berlin to set some trends. Since July 2007 we now have the Fashion Week in Berlin and every year it gets bigger and better. Nevertheless you do not see the runway shows and backstage reports on Vogue.com or Style.com for example. Only e.g. Vogue.de is keen on sharing the latest looks and styles with us directly from the german capital. In this we can see that Berlin may has reached a respectable level but not the trend-setting-section. Which is rather disappointing since the fashion is actually really presentable. Designers such as Dawid Tomaszewski, Kilian Kerner and Strenesse show how good ‚Made in Germany‘ can be. Sadly designers know that other cities bring them more opportunities and a certain publicity which makes them move the location of their shows. There are some labels which have reached international fame like Hugo Boss and Escada. But they already exist since a couple of years. What about the newcomers? We think is is just the same way with Stockholm. Some (e.g. Acne) have …

Shopping in Berlin: Wald

What do you get, when a stylist and a model team up? Yes, a super stylish store in Mitte. Dana Roski and Joyce Binneboese are the owners of the store „Wald“ in Berlin. It is located close to Hackescher Markt, an area crowded with fashionable people (so, actually the perfect location for a fashion store if you look at it). Nevertheless since a longer time the stores around here have become a bit more upper price class. That’s why the two girls want to keep their own price tags at a „low“ but not cheap level. You will find a range from 15 Euros up to 500 Euros. It is not like walking into Acne and wincing because you can’t afford anything. Their style is a good mixture and you find a lot of Scandinavian designers such as Carin Wester. Their intention was to create a store were you feel relaxed and cool and that the clothes reflect what they would wear themselves. Your are warmly welcomed to come in and try everything on. …

3.1 Phillip Lim RTW S/S 2012

I think about Phillip Lim becoming my new fashion hero since his new collection gives me a serious heartbeat. You maybe know now that I like a lot of simple and classic pieces. Soft pastel/sorbet shades combined with black and white. Shapes mostly kept at a basic level or asymmetric. You would also call it minimal style yet I still like some twists within the look. And Phillip Lim has covered all these points for me. Now I just need to win in the lottery and hit his store (or keep checking Zara for their look-alike copies).   (pictures via Vogue.com)

Crystals

All women are kind of fascinated by precious stones- we all know that „diamonds are the girls‘ best friend“ is a true statement somehow. However recent trends lead us towards quartz and graphite, since those stones have a distinctive, unique look. Somehow I’m still searching for the perfect rose quartz necklace- I haven’t found it yet but I hope I will in some time.

Outdoor in Berlin: Berlin Festival

The Naked and Famous Pantha du Prince Last saturday me and my friend went to the Berlin Festival. The music festival was located in Tempelhof, Berlin’s former airport. Huge stages were built up in the hangars and many food stands were offering festival delicacies like veggie burger or pasta. However the atmosphere was great- people just wanted to hear good music and have a good time. While sunset everyone sat on the ground, dipped in sun beams, relaxing. Our personal hightlights of the night (yes, there were several!) were Florrie (soon I’ll do a whole post on her, she has been so impressive), of course Naked and Famous, as well as Pantha du Prince and lastly Boys Noize- they rock!

Stay-at-home-Sunday

I guess the title implicates what is going on. In this comfy clothes I like to stay at home. However I have a theater performance this afternoon and till then I have to learn for school. Still, I will find or lets rather say take some time to flick through the new Vogue and have a coffee along with that.   Sweater – Topshop Pants – H&M Ballet flats – Topshop + latest german Vogue

Since everyone has a different taste in music and location we can just give you the one’s which reflects our own one. Bars King Size Bar The name is actually not fitting the location. The bar is really small and you would walk past it if there would be no people standing outside. Full? Always! People? Alexander Wang – New Bags Collection

We adore these bags! Is there anything cooler in this world? We don’t think so. These bags are perfect, they are cool and chic at the same time. Once again Alexander Wang hits the nerve of time and creates accessories which are simply irresistable! Help! Such a shame they are more than expensive. We love bags which can be worn more than once. It simply is so nerve-raking to un- and repack everything when you change bags. Always have a bag you love to wear and which fits every outfit.
