Dinner in Berlin: The Butcher

Last week we gladly followed an invitation to have dinner at The Butcher in Charlottenburg, near  Savingyplatz. It was a fun night with a handful of other foodie bloggers from in and around Berlin! What we loved most about the restaurant is it’s design: when you enter there is a long counter and the walls have white tiles (just like a real butcher shop!). The next room is a super modern library with some food and design books leading to a winter garden facing the patio. What is so special about the interior design is that there is an open kitchen that you can see from the inside and the outsite. You can actually see the cooks preparing meat in the windows facing the street. I think that is a perfect idea to attract guests! Apart from the nice interior we enjoyed some serious burgers, fries, ribs and corn poppers. Also, I love the fact that there is Brooklyn Lager on the beer menu! Hugo Boss. The Scent

Boss The Scent is the smell of a hard-working, cosmopolitan, sensual, elegant and strong woman. When I first smelled the fragrant, I was instantly hooked and thought it was the perfect combination of sexy and sweet. It is quite intense and has a note of cocoa. I also instantly liked the elegant bottle, it somehow reminds me of New York’s skyscrapers like the Empire State Building and I have to think about the time I lived in that huge and mesmerizing city not so long ago… What To Wear with this scent

Breakfast in Berlin: The Klub Kitchen

Some days ago we went to The Klub Kitchen to try out their granola, which is supposed to be very good. Unfortunately, even at 11 am there was no granola available because it was still in the making… However, we then opted for an avocado rye bread toast with A LOT of salad. It was nice but maybe a little sour. Nevertheless, The Klub Kitchen is a nice hang-out if you are searching for a quick coffee and minimalistic design. Outdoor in Palma: Platja de s’Oratori

During our short-trip to Palma we rented a flat via AirBnB. Our flat mates warmly encouraged us to take a bus out of Palma and visit one of the magnificent beaches along the coast line. It probably was the best decision. We took the bus number 106 and got off in Portals Nous. Here we just followed other people down to the beach and were rewarded with a stunning view. The beach we visited is called Platja de s’Oratori (found this out afterwards). The water was light blue/turquoise and there was nearly no breeze. We enjoyed a lovely day here. Nevertheless there were some negative aspects. In the late afternoon quite a lot of garbage was washed up the beach. Once again we are sadly reminded what humans do to the beautiful nature around us. Since it is a little bay, the dirt is easily transported here. Rubbish that has been chucked into the sea – how long will we still be able to bath in the ocean?

Dinner in Palma: The Boat House

While staying in Palma we tried to test various restaurants for dinner. Normally I like to check Instagram for recommended spots but this time we just strolled through town to find some nice places. One of those was this spot, located at the port of Palma. The Boat House offers meat, fresh fish, salads, pasta and risotto dishes. If you are three or more people I can highly recommend a jag of sangria to share. It just underlines the great location. I had a vegetable risotto which was delicious. The vegetables which came along with the fish were a little too oily but overall a good seaside dish. The atmosphere in the evening was just great and super relaxing. It really is a nice spot to visit with some friends, have a cocktail and let the day end in a good way. Casual Sophistication

Last weeks have been full with work – I have been working on a new project that I am more than excited about but that is surely demanding as well! We will tell you more about it soon. Until then, we find time to catch up between work meetings or have a short coffee break together. Shop this style

Lunch in Berlin: Cecconi’s

This week I was finally able to try out Cecconi’s, newest extension to Soho House Berlin. The restaurant serves fine Italian food and has an extensive menu satisfying every taste. We enjoyed a wide variation of dishes and can definitely recommend the meatballs, tatar and grilled fish. Apart from the excellent food, I love Cecconi’s interior, which is a gathering of huge, red chesterfield sofas, heavy wooden tables and giant chandeliers, creating a vibrant atmosphere. Golden Hour

I‘m back from a short but intense trip to Palma de Mallorca. It was an absolute pleasure to spend some quality time with two of my closest friends in this lovely town. In the next couple of weeks you will see a lot more impressions of this trip and some great tips on what to do, see and where to eat. During our visit we stay at an AirBnB flat with a marvelous roof terrace and a stunning view. In the afternoon/evening the light was just perfect to snap some summer pictures. We felt at home right away. Dress – Zara Sunglasses – RayBan

Shopping & Food in Berlin: The Store

The Store in Berlin is a unique concept, which is mixing gastronomy, co-working and shopping. It is a hang-out for startup founders and freelancers, spending their day working on their MacBooks and sipping cappuccinos. It also is a store for modern street style, decorative items, books and music. And lastly, if that wasn’t enough already, it’s a restaurant for breakfast and lunch. The lunch always consists of five different salads, that go together in a bowl and are always healthy and delicious. I can also highly recommend their cold-pressed juices, which are actually made by hand and on-site in a small juicery truck – try the Beetroot, Pineapple, Ginger!
