In Berlin, the last May days have been the hottest in history – we had nearly constant 30 degrees Celsius and on Tuesday even 34! Surely, we hope that this warm weather will remain throughout June as well. Apart from being sunny and warm, June is a colorful month for me. There is always a play of light and colors: the flowers blooming in the garden, a bright pink summer dress, a statement bag in yellow, an orange Aperol Spritz, a bright green salad… Let’s celebrate the colors of June this month!
Mules We’ve first seen them on the runways of Prada and co. (and to be honest, couldn’t make much of this trend in the beginning). Now, they’re everywhere! In our opinions, they are the perfect combination of chic and casual, a pair of shoes fitting to many outfits and occasions. Mom Jeans Thank go for mom jeans! We couldn’t love them more. They’re super stylish, super cozy and a perfect fit (they always make a slim waist, because of the high waist cut). Mom jeans really make our daily lives more comfortable… Cross-Body Bags There’s nothing more stylish and “blogger-like” than a cross-body bag, over a fur coat, dress, blouse, blazer… The list is endless. However, what always remains is that cross-body bags are not only practical (you have your hands free for phones, coffees, drinks…) but also an upgrade to every style. They just always look classy but effortless.
The bomber jacket trend is still growing strong and we can’t deny that we also love these light jackets. While they only came in black or an oliv green at the beginning, you will now be able to find them in any colour and decorated with any pattern. This dark red one is the perfect day to night version. Combined with light colours during the day and a black dress during night you can easily mix and match it. Top – H&M Jacket – H&M Pants – Zara Sandals – Mango Clutch – Furla
Newest addition to my wardrobe… After wanting a chic, simple and elegant clutch that can go with every outfit, I finally decided to get a Furla Metropolis bag. It’s beige, to be more specific the color is “acero” with some light golden details. The inside is crafted with soft, beige suede and some rivets are supporting the bag from underneath. Dear Furla Metropolis, I love your simple and chic design, that you go with every outfit and I am already looking forward to spending the summer with you!
For us, neat and nice nails should just be a standard in every woman’s beauty routine. However, we all know, that’s easier said than done! Especially as a dancer, nails have to endure a lot: some choreographies include dancing on the ground, rolling over, steadying oneself on one arm… Additionally, in Ballet, it’s normally not allowed to wear apparent nail colors like red or dark colors, because as a dancer you are playing a role and the wrong nail polish can destroy a whole character. When you’re a guest at a ballet performance in the theatre on the other hand, you certainly dress up and to every night out dress belongs the right nail polish. Today, in friendly cooperation with NeoNail, we would like to show you two ways of styling your hands in a perfect dancer’s style: First, as a ballet dancer in a soft rose nude, and secondly, as a spectator at the theatre, wearing a glamorous outfit! Here’s our Step By Step Guide to beautiful dancer’s nails: Our nail look for a …
I think it’s only natural that a person who is quite involved in Social Media and communication will at some point ask herself, what consequences it has to be always online. I work as a Marketing & Social Media Manager and additionally also have this Blog (which I love working on and creating content for!) – you can believe me, that’s a lot of time spent on Instagram, FB & Co. Especially, with the rise of Snapchat and Instagram Stories I feel like the time people spent watching videos has increased dramatically. Last week, I read an article on Spiegel Online, which reported that a court has declared making phone calls with a mobile phone an occupational disease – since it had caused brain cancer for an Italian worker. I personally was shocked when I read the article – is that going to happen to me to if I continue spending that much time on the phone? Are these consequences for real? Apart from the health consequences, Social Media have severe consequences for our daily …
Whereas Café Oliv in Münzstraße is already established in Berlin Mitte for a while, now the second café/restaurant of the two owners opened at Potsdamer Straße. Last week, we checked out both locations. Both are stylish in a minimalistic way – the color oliv is like a red thread and pops up every now and then, for example in form of the beautiful chairs in Oliv Eat. The food is similarly simple but delicious: I enjoyed some pasta with asparagus, peas and some very light white wine sauce – it was a perfect lunch dish! Happy First Of May Everyone! Today, we have a holiday in Germany so I can write this post, sitting in a beautiful garden, in the sun, with a green tea and a bowl of fruit right next to me! In my opinion, May is a particularly beautiful month, since it is the month of flowers blooming everywhere and often it is also the transition to summer. Only in May, the temperatures rise considerably and we can spend more time outside – finally!
Last Saturday was quite productive – we met with lovely Juliane from Headspace PR Hamburg in Café 1900 for some coffee and blog talk. Juliane was revealing, that we were part of their most recent issue of the Sermo Influencer Index, which is basically a huge network of international bloggers all around the world. Thank you again for the Ranking – we’re flattered! Later that day, we took some new street style photos with my new army green jacket that I got as a between-seasons-jacket! After some photos, we headed to another café and discussed our upcoming cooperation – we can tell you that much: it will be about beauty and solving a problem every girl has! I love to discover new little boutiques and shops in my neighborhood. One store that I recently stumbled across is Schee, located in Bleibtreustraße. So we went to check it out last weekend. The store is a lovely mix of interior and decoration accessories, cards and books, prints and textiles. In my opinion one of the addresses to go for when you’re searching for a present for a friend or family member! We really liked how elaborate and carefully selected the selection of items was – every piece was special! They also have another store in Berlin located at Rosenthaler Straße (close to the underground station Rosenthaler Platz, Mitte). We definitely want to visit that one too.
