During the holidays and also during christmas time in general the most important thing is to take some time for your beloved ones. There are so many things, that you may do during these times, going to the christmas market, doing some shopping for presents, passing a cozy night at home with some christmas movies… The important thing is, to take the time, not matter how stressed out you might be. That’s why we spent a girl’s Christmas night with a lot of ginger bread, hot mulled wine, christmas songs and some small presents.
Holiday time after holiday time… For some reason, there are always some wardrobe standards that remain the same every season. Almost every time there is a sequin dress, there will most definitely be something velvet and of course the Christmas color red should never miss! That’s why this year’s gift guide is probably more for us, but why shouldn’t we indulge a little ourselves as well! Happy Holidays! The last weeks have been quiet on Midnight Couture – life happened and we couldn’t do much about it! We have both been working on some amazing projects, some of them were more demanding and since blogging can be considered a full-time job nowadays, that’s why there has been a lack of posts! However, I’m quite proud to announce that the project I’ve been working on more than one year now is called Rose Garden – a deli & concept store in Berlin Mitte. I’ve been involved in the whole creative process of this project, being responsible for interior design, conception, marketing, social media and press work. Since a couple of days, our store set-up is finally ready and we are already opening our doors from time to time to let the team warm up. There will soon be more posts about Rose Garden and I will announce our official opening date! Until then, feel free to follow us on Instagram and Facebook to get more updates of my work – @rosegardenberlin – I happy …
It has long been my dream to visit Switzerland, especially Zurich. Mainly, that was because some of my closest friends from the time when I lived in Paris, live in Zurich and I long wanted to visit them! That’s why for Halloween weekend, we headed to Zurich and discovered the city with them! Zurich is a small and calm, but very romantic and charismatic city. If the weather is nice, you can visit Uetliberg, which is a beautiful mountain on which you can view the whole city from above. You should also just plan a long walk along Zurich lake, preferably on a Sunday since everything else will be closed on that day. Another really common tradition is to have an Apero, which is kind of an Aperitif at home, where you invite friends over for some snacks and wine before heading out to dinner or a bar. Altogether, Zurich is definitely worth a visit and the local culture is a very warm and welcoming one! What To Wear for an autumn day in …
In my opinion, Babu’s Bakery is one of the coziest breakfast spots in whole Zurich. The interior is traditional and romantic, and the food is delicious. You can either order pancakes, waffles, bagels or egg dishes but there are also some fitness alternatives like Bircher Muesli, Acai Bowls and Greek yoghurt. You should also try their excellent coffee! Price $$$$$ // Service ☆☆☆☆☆ // Location ☆☆☆☆☆ // Taste ☆☆☆☆☆ Babu’s Bakery Löwenstrasse 1 8001 Zurich What To Wear to this location
A hip and healthy breakfast option is Zurich is Juicery 21. The café is really small, but still cozy, and serves either warm oatmeal bowls or cold acai bowls combined with a variety of juices. In my opinion the oatmeal was a bit too milky and more like milk rice than oatmeal, but it was nevertheless well made and tasted nice! With November, it’s official: the year is coming to an end. It’s getting dark early outside, the weather changes daily and huge knit sweaters have taken over the stores. This month we want to wear wide, light-blue jeans, cozy sweaters in beige or dark blue, put some nude lipstick on, leave our hair naturally open and study some philosophical books. It’s all about casual confidence and a laid-back attitude. Stress comes with December or, if you are good in your timing, November will already be filled with shopping presents and writing Christmas cards. Who knows.. The lust list for this month
Another culinary highlight lead by Tim Raue was recently opened in Berlin. Directly across the street from famous KaDeWe, Brasserie Colette is a French Bistro at high level. What I loved most about Colette is the elegant interior – the overall tone is dark, there is lots of golden elements, colorful floral cushions and a (typically French) wooden built-in shelf. The food is delicious and fine, maybe the portions are somewhat smaller than you would expect at a Brasserie… But apart from that, we can only recommend this place for a cozy dinner! PS: they wine selection is fabulous! Price $$$$$ // Service ☆☆☆☆☆ // Location ☆☆☆☆☆ // Taste ☆☆☆☆☆ Brasserie Colette Passauer Straße 5-7 10789 Berlin What To Wear to this location
Hello October, you feel a lot like autumn! While September was still quite warm and let us indulge in summer-feelings, October 1st got us right with the autumn-mood. Cold, a little grey and rainy, colorful trees and a fresh breeze. But that also means its time for all those beautiful sweaters, cozy coats and over-knee boots we already find everywhere. October lust list
We are happy to share some streetstyle pictures taken by The Styleograph during the Bread&Butter a few weeks ago. We already showed you our duo pictures and thought it would also be nice to share these with you.
