Shopping & Food in Berlin: The Store

The Store in Berlin is a unique concept, which is mixing gastronomy, co-working and shopping. It is a hang-out for startup founders and freelancers, spending their day working on their MacBooks and sipping cappuccinos. It also is a store for modern street style, decorative items, books and music. And lastly, if that wasn’t enough already, it’s a restaurant for breakfast and lunch. The lunch always consists of five different salads, that go together in a bowl and are always healthy and delicious. I can also highly recommend their cold-pressed juices, which are actually made by hand and on-site in a small juicery truck – try the Beetroot, Pineapple, Ginger! Healthy in Berlin: Superfoods & Organic Liquids

It is no secret that healthy food is big in Berlin. If you walk down Weinbergsweg in Mitte, you’ll find one organic food store after the other. Superfoods & Organic Liquids is one of them. The store is small but has a stylish interior and nice menu variety for the size of the café. I really liked that there were different fruit toppings to their bircher mueslis or chia puddings, either raspberry acai or mango. I can also recommend the coffee with a huge matcha or chocolate cookie on the side! Breakfast in Berlin: What do you fancy love?

Somehow this place has become one of those in-spots to meet your friends and enjoy a Detox juice. Located in City West, What do you fancy love? offers a wide range of fresh juices, delicious coffee specialties and yummy bagels. Its packed everyday and you will experience various people popping in and rushing out with their healthy treat. The prices are fair and the things they offer are delightful. Nevertheless you sometimes feel a little observed by the other guest who scan you from head to toe. Price $$$$$ // Service ☆☆☆☆☆ // Location ☆☆☆☆☆ // Taste ☆☆☆☆☆ What do you fancy love? Breakfast in London: Briki

Briki is a Greek breakfast café and deli situated in the east of London. They offer a delicious granola with greek yoghurt, fruits and honey, as well as some baked goods and coffee. Besides their breakfast card they offer a nice lunch menu, also for take-away (the price is a little lower then). It is a cozy and simple spot for a quick breakfast or a coffee in the morning. You really must try their award winning coffee which is roasted from high-quality green coffee beans. Breakfast in Berlin: Distrikt Coffee

Steadily the breakfast spots in Berlin are growing and improving. One, very instagramable place, is Distrikt Coffee closely located to the subway station Nordbahnhof. We have already seen a few pictures on the social media platforms and figured it was time to visit the café. They serve a delicious breakfast even though the portions are not very big and you certainly need more than one if you really want to be satisfied. Also the coffee pots aren’t really huge and quickly cool out. But everything tastes really good. Nevertheless because of the price this isn’t an everyday place to enjoy. The interior is cozy and the people hanging around here are typical Berlin inhabitants or tourists who stumbled across the place on Instagram. Breakfast in New York: Kellogg’s Diner

When you are in the United States you should at least once go to a typical American diner. In New York, we went to Williamsburg-based Kellogg’s Diner and it was awesome! Get one of the breakfast specials and make sure to take a lot of maple syrup with your pile of pancakes! Breakfast in Berlin: Quchnia

Last week I headed out to have breakfast at Quchnia, one of Berlin’s most elegant Cafés in a prime location. It is situated at Gendarmenmarkt, directly facing the concert hall. The food is delicious and of high quality, all dishes are appetizingly presented and freshly made. The menu offers a wide variety of breakfasts, different bites like organic sourdough bread or quiches and soups. We enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and friendly service. Breakfast in Potsdam: Biosphäre

When you are searching for a very special place to have breakfast, the Biosphäre Potsdam offers a unique experience to you. You can have brunch in their café, in between tropical plants, a fish pond where koi fish and turtles swim around and occasionally a parrot will fly by. However this is not a place for a spontaneous breakfast. You got to plan your visit in advance (at least two days before) and make a reservation. Plus, wear something light since the temperature is tropical inside. Breakfast in Weimar: Fama Café & Bücher

During my last stay in Weimar my boyfriend and I took the chance to try this beautiful little café called Fama. It is located in the heart of the city and serves delicious breakfast as well as lunch and cake in the afternoon. Everything you see on the table was absolutely delicious and the price was more than fair. In total we paid 22.90 € – which is absolutely appropriate for what we enjoyed. Only tiny little minus point: it took a while until everything was served but certainly waiting was for it. Breakfast in Berlin: Grand Café Cappuccino

The area around Kurfürstendamm is predestined to enjoy the sun, sip a coffee and have a lovely breakfast with a good friend. The Grand Café Cappuchino, the extension of restaurant institutions like Petrocelli, is a perfect spot to do just this. Last time, we both enjoyed the fitness breakfast and it was a real treat. Definitely another favorite brunch and breakfast spot in Berlin!
