We’ve always been fans of all the blogger events that take place during Berlin Fashion Week and are not designer’s shows but rather crafted especially for bloggers. Last Wednesday we had the pleasure to attend the Indulge House Fashion Week Special at AMANO rooftop. It was a relaxing morning, with a Pilates session by Isabelle, who is a former ballerina and personal Pilates teacher from Berlin. Afterwards we enjoyed some food by superfoods & organic liquids Berlin and also various lovely brands, like Eins Berlin crafted jewellery and Nuori skincare products. Thank you for this event! We wanted to share these snaps taken during New York Fashion Week with you, taking a small break on these steps in the Meatpacking district. We had an awesome but quite packed Fashion Week, with both work and blog related events!
During Fashion Week it is a true bliss to have some places where you can just relax, take some time out and have a drink with some other fellow bloggers. New York Fashion Week of course offered such a place at the Head Quarters. There were phone chargers, refreshing summer drinks, delicious snacks and cool cooperation partners to explore.
During NYFW we headed to the Rewardstyle Rooftop party at Hotel Americano. It was really nice to chitchat with some fellow bloggers and have a cocktail on the roof, before everyone left to watch the next show. Thanks RewardStyle and Hotel Americano for having us! New York Fashion Week is mostly extravagant, quite colorful and a little over the top. Still my German pragmatism made me choose a black simple but chic outfit, so I can be sure it goes with everything and is practical during the whole day (I was rushing back and forth between events and work). During Fashion Week, the High Line Hotel hosted the Town & Country Atelier Event – inviting many fashionistas to enjoy a ZOYA manicure and experience luxe accessories in between shows. The event was nice and intimate, just the perfect opportunity to relax during these stressful days.
These days we prefer to attend blogger events during Fashion Week, since you can meet new people and chat a little and there’s always a nice relaxed atmosphere. On Tuesday we attended the #HashMag Blogger Lounge in Berlin Mitte and it was a really nice experience. We loved the idea to invite all bloggers to make their own floral wreaths. We both are always in for some handicraft work, to build something beautiful on your own always gives you a good feeling! After the event we headed to dinner at the Grace restaurant. We’ll give you an update about that night soon so stay tuned!
The Haute Couture week took place in Paris during the last January days. And once again it took our breaths away. The creations really are masterpieces and unique works of art. In this post we like to share with you our favorite shows and what we can learn from them. Giambattista Valli Probably one of our favorite collections of the couture week. The colour palette got us right away as well as the romantic ballet skirts (reminding us of the ballet Giselle) and all that organza which has been used. Favorite detail: the black headpieces with a bow and mesh. Dior The venue of the show is getting a 10/10 from us. Electric, playful and so fascinating. We simply couldn’t avoid all those instagram snaps which were dazzling around our feed. The collection? Playful skirts, sequins, jumpsuits, rain caps and skin-tied over-knee boots. Sensual and yet erotic with those shoes! Chanel Thinking off a huge botanic garden with crystal flowers, jeweled insects, huge plants and a crazily happy coloring? Then welcome to the Chanel couture show. King Karl did it again – he surpassed all his …
This year, the Lavera Showfloor started with an opening show with prominent guests like Elisa Sednaoui, Elisabetta Canalis and Evelyn Hall. The opening show featured Danish designer Ann Wiberg, showing beautiful her “trash couture” made out of antique fabrics, laces, beads and embroideries. The entire collection is sewn in her own atelier in Copenhagen and is destined to minimize waste and give a second life to pre-worn pieces of fabrics. Ann Wiberg is one of few designers who offer individualized services for designing a unique gown for a special event, wedding etc. Her couture is both “poetic and contemporary”.
Fashion Week. Again. We have to be really honest now: we don’t have that much time to visit all those shows and events which we are invited to. This is because we both work and we both study. Which means time is limited. We are always happy about every invitation but especially during the Fashion Week in January we are so busy with studying, working on projects (blog, work and dancing) that we don’t find the time for a 10 minute show. And most of all we won’t be able to make it to an after-party since we have to get-up early in the morning. However this Wednesday I took the chance to visit the Loft of the Blogger Bazaar team in Berlin Mitte. It was absolutely stunning. The location (a Penthouse located at Rosenthaler Platz) was flawless and the interior was divine. Plus the girls of Blogger Bazaar had put together an amazing line-up of partners. Bumble and Bumble, Smashbox, Zign, Olympus, Filippa K. – just to name a few. And everyone was there …
