Nimm das, Cheat Day!

Cheat Day Der Begriff Cheat Day kommt aus dem Englischen. Folglich sinkt euer …

Homemade Bircher Müsli

It has become somewhat of a routine for me – lately, I always prepare my breakfast in advance in order to safe time in the morning. For that reason, I love to prepare bircher muesli, because it is easy, delicious and healthy at the same time! I always prepare a big bowl that lasts a whole week in the fridge and top it with fresh berries to get some extra freshness. To be honest, I normally mix the bircher muesli by feel and put in what I like at the time. Here’s a rough recipe: two parts spelt oats (I always take the fine ones, so it gets really creamy!) cranberries raisins dried apricots shredded coconut one fresh apple (cut in tiny pieces) a dash of cinnamon soy milk I mix all the dry ingredients and stir them until mixed through. Then I fill it up with soy milk so that everything is covered. Leave in the fridge over night and enjoy every day!

Tea-riffic!

I have always preferred tea over coffee my whole life – some think that’s really strange. Maybe it’s because I’ve always had a little ritual with my parents, to drink green tea on afternoons of weekends, which we often spent together. Also, tea is really about patience and worshipping the beverage itself. You’l boil the water, it needs to cool a little to reach the perfect temperature for that certain kind of tea and then it is poured and rests in its cup, steaming and warm… When we first tried fittea, we were surprised by the rich flavor of it. Especially, the “Inner Beauty” tea, smelled and tasted exceptionally with its flavors of lady’s mantle plant, whitethorn, aniseed, raspberry leaves and fennel. Also the little pink tea filter swims happily in the cup and instantly puts a smile on our faces. In cooperation with Fittea

Home Workout Equipment

Some of you may already know that I’m a workout lover and therefore I considered it would be nice to give you a little overview on my equipment I use at home. Starting from left to right resistance band (red) I use this one mainly to do some feet exercise to strengthen my feet. Especially after my foot surgery was this my best workout-buddy Gaynor Minden Flexibility band (pink) It’s always important to stretch and in order to get more flexible I use this flexibility band to increase my side splits as well as working on my arabesque and á la second extensions (dance lovers will know what I’m talking about) light hand weights (pink) I got these from my Mum and try to do little exercise with them mainly in combination with sitting on the stability ball or lying in a bridge position. I don’t want too muscly arms which is why I always stretch after using them and try to do various workout routines Foam roller With the foam roller I want to …

Here comes another delicious breakfast and on-the-go inspiration for you. This time it’s from the book Good to Glow by Tali Shine and Steph Adams. Make sure to prepare this one night in advance. Healthy in Berlin: Superfoods & Organic Liquids

It is no secret that healthy food is big in Berlin. If you walk down Weinbergsweg in Mitte, you’ll find one organic food store after the other. Superfoods & Organic Liquids is one of them. The store is small but has a stylish interior and nice menu variety for the size of the café. I really liked that there were different fruit toppings to their bircher mueslis or chia puddings, either raspberry acai or mango. I can also recommend the coffee with a huge matcha or chocolate cookie on the side! Acai-Bowl

One of our obsessions since New York are Acai bowls. After we tried the Acai bowl at TwoHands we were more than willing to try it ourselves and share it with you. Here is what you need: one frozen banana, 100g frozen raspberries, 75ml almond milk (you can also go for soy or coconut milk) and one tablespoon Acai powder, fresh berries (blueberries, raspberries, strawberries – it’s up to you), granola, chia seeds, pumpkin seeds and nuts. How to make: Freeze a banana (cut into pieces) one night in advance. Add the banana, frozen raspberries, almond milk and Acai powder to a mixer and blend. Serve in a bowl. Garnish with the remaining ingredients. Shop some bowls
