Hello August, hello ultimate summer month! We certainly can’t complain over the weather during the last few weeks. We had a lot of warm, sunny days already but wouldn’t mind it to stay that way. This months inspiration is inspired by grey and light blue shades, fresh salad recipes, light denim pieces and beige colored bags.
Recently, I’ve busied myself quite a lot with interior design and everything that comes with it. Not only on a professional level but also since I finally settled in Berlin and had lots of fun to search for stylish finds for my own apartment! Of course, I love some nice nude, rosé colors but also a colorful carpet can make a huge difference. In my opinion, it’s also very important to buy some nice frames for all your photographs of family and friends. That is what really turns an apartment into a home. Also, I am a fan of Voluspa candles – their scent is just delicious and I always light one in my hallway – it instantly makes guest feel welcome and creates a nice atmosphere.
I can’t believe it’s already July! Time was been flying like crazy – and like always. I’m back in Berlin for good, just moved into a new apartment and settling in a new job while terminating my studies – yay! Vanessa has been involved in another big ballet performance that will premiere tomorrow and I’m more than excited to see her on stage! Soon, we will have at least some days off and go on a short vacation that I’m already looking forward to!
When looking at these images I certainly remember why I practice this form of art. The grace, the beauty, the strength and the effortlessness is just divine. And perfectly captured by the team behind the NYC Dance Project, Ken Browar and Deborah Ory. Capturing the right moment in dance through photography isn’t easy and it takes time to develop the right eye. But these two are just amazing and are true leaders in this form of craft. Make sure to pre-order their book, filled with delicately chosen pictures.
Beyonce’s formation video, Vogue shoots, black lace is everywhere right now. And we can say: we love it. The challenge is somehow to find the right mixture between lingerie and street wear, not overdoing it. The clue is mostly to mix black lace with cool accessories, like biker boots and leather bags. Or in summer a black lace bustier even goes with a ripped jeans shorts, creating a festival look.
June… the summer vibes are kicking in. We are longing for warm days, iced coffees, fresh salads and some breezy summer pieces. Girls nights out in short summer dresses and comfy sandals or sneakers. Sundays strolling through the city and enjoying some delicious ice cream. Bathing fun by the lake or even at the beach. Nothing seems impossible during these days. Time to to colour the summer season in all kind of shades. Time to buy the right bikini and collect some delicious cocktail recipes. Hello, summer!
It’s already May! One of my favorite months ever. The trees are blooming everywhere, it’s peonies time and summer isn’t too far away anymore. It’s also the month of birthdays of my beloved ones and we have some city trips coming up – so all in all we are excited for this month!
With April kicking in we are officially in spring mood and at the moment you see flower patterns everywhere. The coolest way to wear them? One a bomber jacket! The softness of the floral decor breaks the tough jacket style. What else you need? Some comfy sneakers in pastel shades, a ripped skinny jeans and a nice white or black shirt. Accessories go for some delicate golden jewelry.
This month really brings some chances along for us and the blog. We are constantly working on the new page which will launch very soon. But for now we are happy to share our latest inspiration post for you. Besides work and blogging this month is also filled with traveling, trying new food places in Berlin and visit cultural events such as architecture lectures and museum tours. Of course you therefore need a delicate wardrobe which will represent your sophisticated personality. Power dressing at work and during your free time is essential for the up-coming weeks. We are thinking of a flattering grey coat, a white pencil skirt, some pastel knits, nude/beige high heels and skinny white or grey jeans. The ultimate shopping list
Some love, some hate Valentine’s Day. All that we can say is: Why shouldn’t we enjoy it while it’s there anyways! This year my boyfriend took me to Amsterdam for Valentine’s weekend and I loved the Dutch people’s positive attitude towards Valentine’s Day! Every restaurant and bar had some funny and cheesy decoration, but it was all just fun and all people enjoyed the atmosphere instead of complaining how silly this tradition is.
