MC Talk with Johannes Heinrichs

Johannes Heinrichs is a Potsdam-based actor, which I met during a project at the theatre. He got his acting education in Ulm and Babelsberg, both re-woned academies for acting. He is also known for acting in numerous tv productions, for example “Club der roten Bänder”, an addictive series which aired on Vox in 2016. Right now, I’m actually working on another project with him, this time it is dance-related – stay tuned! When you were a child, what did you dream of being? I dreamed a lot but I had no plan. I always act spontaneously. Becoming an actor was a project that came up slowly and gradually when I was a teenager. What do you always take with you when you travel? Lip care, fishermen’s friend (spearmint) and music (!!!) What is your favorite spot on earth? I’m not sure I ‘ve already found that favorite spot on earth. San Francisco was great, but I think a little hut near the beach in the Caribbean would be much more interesting. What is one thing …

MC Talk with Cailin Klohk

Cailin Klohk, who we spotted through Instagram, is 23 years old and was born and raised in Germany. Her mum is Irish, so she grew up speaking English as her first language and moved to London to study here when she was just 19. Today, Cailin works as the Junior Fashion Writer at Topshop Head Office. Her job includes managing and writing the Topshop blog (find an article here on how she got her job), as well as writing features for the Topshop UK website, newsletters and more. This background got us hocked instantly and we are super happy that we got her to fill out our interview. When you were a child, what did you dream of being? I wanted to be an actress when I was younger – I was actually signed with an agency for a while and got quite far in the casting rounds for some big German productions, but I quickly noticed I wasn’t that into it after all, so I gave up that dream. Then I wanted to be a …

MC Talk with Isabelle Pollet Villard

Isabelle, raised in Bordeaux, left France and her family with 15 years to become a ballet dancer. She has danced as a professional ballet dancer for 18 years, performing almost the whole classical repertoire but also various modern pieces in Germany, Switzerland and on tour all over the world. Isabelle discovered Pilates in the late nineties after a serious foot injury. She now is a certified Pilates teacher and will be opening a new Pilates Studio “The Pilates Movement, Isabelle Pollet Villard” in Berlin Mitte (soon just five minutes from Rosenthaler Platz Subway station). When you were a child, what did you dream of being? I wanted to dance but I also remember wanting to be an archeologist for a while. Brushing the sand and dust off old stones and bones was what I was keen on. I guess this is one of my character features that led me to become a ballet dancer and now Pilates coach… always searching for those little details, clearing the “dust” to find the perfect shape, position, posture. What …

She’s currently engaged to Russian ballet dancer Daniil Kolmin and in the process of planning her wedding. Her love of writing has recently spurred her onto creating her own dance mixed with fashion blog, and her and Daniil’s wedding blog. When you were a child, what did you dream of being? When I was a child I really wanted to become an Olympic swimmer. I was really small, but very fast. My nickname was “Goldfish” (because my last name is Goldhahn) at competitions, I even believed one day I’d bring home a gold …

On his website The Peacock Paper you find  a carefully curated selection of his beautiful photography in travel diaries. He also works as a creative director and stylist. What do you always take with you when you travel? I don’t want to say my iPhone, but i realised that it can get you out of almost any situation! You can take photos (essential), book accommodation, access cash, pay for things, call people, direct you places! Otherwise, I always need to travel with my camera – and couldn’t quite imagine doing so without …
