Brunch in New York: Fiore

Fiore is a cozy Italian restaurant, serving brunch, lunch and dinner daily. We went on a Saturday to have brunch and it was awesome! We recommend the strawberry pancakes with lemon zest ricotta and the frittatas (“egg cakes” served with spinach and mozzarella). You can also go boozy and get some cocktails! Make sure to bring money along because they only except cash. Price $$$$$ // Service ☆☆☆☆☆ // Location ☆☆☆☆☆ // Taste ☆☆☆☆☆ Fiore 284 Grand Street Brooklyn, NY 11211 What To Wear to this location

Coffee in New York: Ost Café NYC

Heading to East Village during my last visit to New York made me check out Ost Café, a cozy little spot located on the corner 12th Street / Avenue A. They serve freshly brewed coffee and little sweet treats. The café is packed with people who want to enjoy a coffee and work on their laptops (home away from home as I would call it). I really liked the taste of the coffee nevertheless I didn’t try something of their food pieces since I thought they were a little too expensive. Coffee in New York: Chalait

This place is of course nothing new to the New York-coffer-lover-scene and for sure attracts the fashion pack. Inspired by the matcha tradition of Japan, Chalait offers a whole variety of matcha products. The name of the café derives from Cha (tea in Japanese) and lait (milk in French). Besides the delicious coffee you can enjoy some little snacks such as fresh banana bread, cookies, avocado-egg toast and stuffed croissants. And if you feel the need to have some Chalait at home, you can buy some of their products in store and online. Soon they will open another spot at Chelsea Market. Coffee in New York: Cha Cha Matcha

While visiting New York it was impossible to not visit this cute place. Everyone around Prince / Canal Street was running around with a cup of Cha Cha Matcha. This café offers a good range of Matcha products starting with the classic Matcha Latte but also selling Matcha banana bread, doughnuts filled with Matcha cream and Matcha lemonade. You get it: Matcha all over the place. But of course you can also enjoy normal coffee beverages. The interior is cute and the prices normal for New York conditions. But be sure to bring your Credit Card because they don’t expect cash! It puts a spell on you

Those of you who are following us on Instagram and Facebook have probably seen that I’m currently back in New York. But not for Fashion Week as many may think but to follow my passion: dancing. It has become a tradition to visit this city every year to train, be inspired and get new ideas. Again it has been a true pleasure for me and it will be so hard to leave on Monday. I somehow feel a little more attached to the city than the years before and enjoy each and every moment. I hope I can come back soon and train even more. For now I love sharing some snaps with you and over the next weeks you will be able to experience more #newyorkguide posts.

Ten Things I learned about living in New York City

New York, New York, City of endless possibilities, where dreams come true… 1. There is probably nothing you cannot do in New York City. It doesn’t matter if it’s nightlife, food or other experiences, you’ll probably find it somewhere in the city. That is what makes living in New York so amazing and exciting! 2. Yes, the city is crazy expensive, we have to admit. In New York, if you want a unique experience, you have to pay for it. That is probably one of the reasons people are this ambitious to make it in this city and to be able to afford a nice life here. 3. In New York, everything is extreme. I believe that there is no mediocre or “normal” way and one could say that the amplitudes are just wider than anywhere else. 4. If you want to survive in this jungle, you have to be tough. My Ten Favorite Places In New York

1. Probably my favorite place in New York is the Met Museum. I love that you never have to stand in line and can just casually decide to go there and spend the afternoon. I also love that there is so many different kinds of art, you can look at impressionist paintings but as well visit the Egyptian wing or see an exact replica of a Moroccan patio in a Riad. I think you can learn a lot and this museum is one of the greatest there is. 2. When you are living in New York you will soon realize that the Central Park is as essential to your life as the air you are breathing. Literally, when you have passed a week between skyscrapers and in subway tunnels, you will feel like you can finally breathe again once you enter this amazing park. 3. In New York, like every other city probably you should spend your Saturdays with a lovely long brunch with friends before continuing to stroll around through your favorite neighborhood. A …
