Some weeks ago, I was lucky enough to visit a good friend in Toronto. It was my first time visiting Canada and I was absolutely stunned by this diverse and interesting city! As already mentioned, what fascinated me most about Toronto was its multi-culture and with that the numerous different experiences you can make in this city. Firstly, there is downtown Toronto, where skyscrapers make you feel like in New York City. Then there is the harbor area nearby the water that gives you a completely different feel and suddenly you’ll find yourself in Kensington, with an original Berlin Döner store and all kinds of foods form around the world. This vast mix of different cultures and sharing of their cultural values is what makes Toronto so really unique and exciting. What to pack
Staying in New York for a little longer gave me the chance to travel to Washington D.C. for one day (first note to myself and everyone out there: one day is way too short for this city!). After reading Dan Browns “The Lost Symbol” I was just longing to visit this city. My boyfriend and I took the bus from New York straight to Washington which took about 4,5 hours – long journey but it was the cheapest fare. We reached the Union Station around 10am and wanted to drive back from here around 7pm. Luckily most time of the day we didn’t have any rain and were therefore able to walk A LOT (my legs were dying at the end of the day!). But it was absolutely worth it. The city is amazing! So much to see, so much to explore. What stunned me the most was the Lincoln Memorial, the Library of Congress and the National Art Gallery (post about this coming soon). If you ever get the chance to visit this city I can just highly recommend it to you …
My time in New York City has been amazing and exciting so far. Here is a small Insta Diary capturing some moments of my stay! For more follow us on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter.
Germany offers some delicate weekend-getaway destinations. Over the years I think many people have realized this and especially the German people start to explore their country. A few weeks ago I spent a weekend at the North Sea, the weather could have been a little better but the seaside is still a beautiful place even when it’s raining. Somehow it’s easier to except a bad weather day here than anywhere else. What to pack
It was a beautiful day in July, when our dear friends said “yes” forever. We were happy to share this special day with them and be part of such a dream wedding! Of course it is not easy to find a dress for such an occasion and with mine I had this seldom and wonderful “aha” moment – that was the right dress! When you experience such a moment, you feel more confident in your dress and there is an inner shine that comes from within! I was wearing this light blue lace dress by Coast that I first saw in London. Dress – Coast Shoes – Zara Bag – Vintage
Once you are in New York longer than just a few weeks, you’ll start to discover one area at the time and eventually move to Brooklyn’s new hotspot – Williamsburg. The area is mostly young and arty, with many wall paintings and cafes to hang out, as well as some rooftops to have a chilled glass of Brooklyn lager beer. What I love most about this area is that around each corner, there is another interesting thing waiting and this district is so full of contrasts. We will keep you updated with our favorite spots in Williamsburg soon! What To Wear
In summer there is probably no place more beautiful and relaxing than Italy! The Riviera, Aperol Spritz at sunset, gelato all day and different pasta obsessions – heaven! Here are some impressions of a couple of days in paradise alias Lago di Garda.
Lyon is a city full of French charm, zest for life and romance. It can offer everything you need for a perfect city trip: culture, culinary experiences and style. Like in many French cities you may observe the French women’s impeccable style while you stroll through the beautiful streets paved with small boutiques and cafés. The church on top of the hill offers an incredible view over the whole city, afterwards you can take a walk down through the massive park and end up in an artisan ice cream store trying one of 70 different flavors.
During my stay in Amsterdam I got the chance to experience a short trip to the Dutch country side and all I can say is that is it really beautiful. Pink, yellow and red tulip fields paint the scenery in the most beautiful colors possible. The sea breeze blows away your sorrows and the waves sooth your mind. You can reach the beach with only traveling half an hour from the exciting city of Amsterdam and I can only recommend a day trip to discover the Dutch beauty of nature.
Last Friday I finally had the chance to meet the lovely SisterMag girls again. Occasion? They organized an event setting a primary focus how to get healthy and fit through the summer season. In little workshops we got an inside look on health products, beauty treatments and latest wholesomeness helpers. During the lunch break you were able to get a pedi and mani session, polish your hair style or refresh you make up by a great beauty team. And of course we have to mention the delicious food which has been served all day long. Starting with some breakfast treats, a lunch break and in the afternoon sweets and coffee. Dear SisterMag Team, thank you for this great experience and the lovely day I have been able to spend with you. Well done for making us a little more happy and healthy during some hectic weeks.
