August, a month in which we still hope to enjoy some sunny days and mild nights. We like to head out and meet some friends at the local bistro or bar, enjoy a slice of pizza or sip on a cold beer. We can still easily forget our daily obligations and hope to gain strength for the up-coming colder and especially darker months. Our wardrobe is therefore still filled with summery pieces e.g. white dresses, fancy sandals, cute necklaces and pastel colored cross-body bags. Our sunglasses are inspired from old, glamours Hollywood divas and the lengths of our dresses reach from sexy short to bohemian maxi chic. [show_shopthepost_widget id=“2762927″]
In Berlin, the last May days have been the hottest in history – we had nearly constant 30 degrees Celsius and on Tuesday even 34! Surely, we hope that this warm weather will remain throughout June as well. Apart from being sunny and warm, June is a colorful month for me. There is always a play of light and colors: the flowers blooming in the garden, a bright pink summer dress, a statement bag in yellow, an orange Aperol Spritz, a bright green salad… Let’s celebrate the colors of June this month!
During our short-trip to Palma we rented a flat via AirBnB. Our flat mates warmly encouraged us to take a bus out of Palma and visit one of the magnificent beaches along the coast line. It probably was the best decision. We took the bus number 106 and got off in Portals Nous. Here we just followed other people down to the beach and were rewarded with a stunning view. The beach we visited is called Platja de s’Oratori (found this out afterwards). The water was light blue/turquoise and there was nearly no breeze. We enjoyed a lovely day here. Nevertheless there were some negative aspects. In the late afternoon quite a lot of garbage was washed up the beach. Once again we are sadly reminded what humans do to the beautiful nature around us. Since it is a little bay, the dirt is easily transported here. Rubbish that has been chucked into the sea – how long will we still be able to bath in the ocean? [show_shopthepost_widget id=“1869788″]
I can’t believe it’s already July! Time was been flying like crazy – and like always. I’m back in Berlin for good, just moved into a new apartment and settling in a new job while terminating my studies – yay! Vanessa has been involved in another big ballet performance that will premiere tomorrow and I’m more than excited to see her on stage! Soon, we will have at least some days off and go on a short vacation that I’m already looking forward to! [show_shopthepost_widget id=“1741447″]
And finally we get the summer temperature you would expect of this season! In Berlin we are facing some pretty hot days but isn’t it what we are craving for? Laying at the beach or pool, drinking a cool cocktail, reading a good book and getting a tan – hello, summer! And with that lets get a new/old colour in our closets. As a main shade we have chosen coral but don’t hesitate to add some other bright colours such as turquoise and green. Add to your shopping list [show_shopthepost_widget id=“1449020″]
For us July and August are those two months which really conquer the word „summer“ even though the weather normally isn’t that summery. However it’s that time of the year when we can get-away and go on holiday. It’s o surprise that this months inspiration is all about the beach, bikinis and summer details. We are thinking of colourful bikinis, roof top parties, delicious fruity drinks and some perfect beauty products which will protect your hair and skin from the burning sun.
