Happy Easter!

The long Easter weekend is here and we are indulging in some free time and good chocolate eggs. How will you spend Easter Sunday? We will have a lovely lunch containing grilled salmon and green asparagus. And in the afternoon we will hit a theater production and in the evening meet our friends for a good dancing session at the local club. It maybe not the traditional Easter Sunday with the whole family and a good brunch or dinner but it dose not matter how you celebrate those festive days as long as you are happy with the events/gatherings you pick. During the last couple of days we were often asked why don’t we celebrate Easter with our family but it’s simply a huge logistical effort since they are all over Germany. Therefore its really nice to just gather people around you who you love and who give you a good feeling, no matter if its Easter, Christmas or any other day, We hope you all have some lovely plans and wish you H A …

Brunch in Berlin: Benedict

Berlin is such a vibrant, economically strong growing city that so many place pop-up around town like mushrooms. So many young, talented people come to Berlin to follow their dreams and establish a good growing business. One of those new in-locations is Benedict, an all-day breakfast spot close to Kurfürstendamm. Their menu is filled with typical breakfast dishes such as eggs benedict, omelettes, pancakes, french toast and granola dishes. We went for: – the vegan breakfast, a chickpea pancake with onions, corn and tomatoes. Served with delicious buns and three spreads (eggplant, tahini and beetroot humus) – the classic mini pancakes with maple syrup (favorite dish from our selection) – muesli with greek yogurt, fresh fruits and honey All in all it was a nice morning. If you consider going here make sure to have some time. When we arrived we had to put our names on a waiting list (they currently don’t take any reservations) and got our table about 20/25 minutes later. We both felt a little New-York-flash-back, there you always need to …

Brunch in Zurich: Babu’s Bakery

In my opinion, Babu’s Bakery is one of the coziest breakfast spots in whole Zurich. The interior is traditional and romantic, and the food is delicious. You can either order pancakes, waffles, bagels or egg dishes but there are also some fitness alternatives like Bircher Muesli, Acai Bowls and Greek yoghurt. You should also try their excellent coffee! Brunch in New York: Fiore

Fiore is a cozy Italian restaurant, serving brunch, lunch and dinner daily. We went on a Saturday to have brunch and it was awesome! We recommend the strawberry pancakes with lemon zest ricotta and the frittatas („egg cakes“ served with spinach and mozzarella). You can also go boozy and get some cocktails! Make sure to bring money along because they only except cash. Brunch in Berlin: die Stulle

I always love to discover new brunch places in my neighborhood Charlottenburg / Wilmersdorf. Recently, we discovered this place called „Die Stulle„, the German name for bread. It’s a cozy and cute place, decorated with a lot of love and the food is just awesome. We are huge fans of the pancakes and all variations of sourdough bread with different homemade spreads! They also serve delicious lunch. Breakfast in Berlin: The Klub Kitchen

Some days ago we went to The Klub Kitchen to try out their granola, which is supposed to be very good. Unfortunately, even at 11 am there was no granola available because it was still in the making… However, we then opted for an avocado rye bread toast with A LOT of salad. It was nice but maybe a little sour. Nevertheless, The Klub Kitchen is a nice hang-out if you are searching for a quick coffee and minimalistic design. Brunch in Berlin: Roamers

Yesterday, I finally visited Berlin’s insta famous brunch café Roamers for a work meeting. I can definitely say, the hype is real! People were standing in line for breakfast on an ordinary Tuesday morning, normally I only experienced such behavior in New York City, where it’s absolutely normal to wait one hour to get some overpriced avocado toast – but that’s a different story. Roamers is small but cozy, dishes are somewhat arranged in a messy but photogenic way. However, most importantly, the food tastes great. We had the granola with fresh berries and the classic avocado toast with poached eggs and I think both tasted fabulous.
