Witchcraft

Here comes our this years Halloween Special for you. The pictures were taken by Michael from Reinhardt&Sommer with help of JFRcreatives and Klemens. We were thinking of witches and witchcraft this year but in a modern way. Since the earliest human cultures the belief in and the practice of magic has been a present issue. And even today it has an important role in religious and medical areas all around the globe. Most of the time witchcraft has been contacted to the Devil and was stigmatized as something evil. Especially in Protestant Europe witch-hunts became an important matter and many women were burnt on the stake. Approximately between 40,000 and 60,000 executions have taken place between 1480 and 1750. Witch hunts continue to this day. The fascination for the supernatural is still very present and has reached a high fan level and publicity with the Harry Potter books and movies. J.K. Rowling made it possible to see witchcraft from a different perspective and it hit the nerve of the time right-away. And who knows what comes …

Premium Young Designers Award Ceremony

On Monday the 1st of July, just one day before Berlin Fashion Week kicked-off officially, we were invited to the Premium Young Designers Award Ceremony. It took place at the F95 store and as a special act Frida Gold performed live. The winners of this season were Franziska Michael (Womenswear), Tothem (Menswear) and VK Lillie (Accessories). It was a nice afternoon with refreshing drinks and Haagen Dazs ice-cream.

Culture in Berlin: Berliner Liste

Last week we were invited to the Opening Party of the art fair Berliner Liste (thanks to PEO).  We got a glimpse of the work presented there (did you see them on Twitter?!) and enjoyed  some techno sounds at the Tresor Club which is located in the same building. We sadly couldn’t snap some more pictures of the art, since it wasn’t allowed to take pictures.

Easter

It’s only one week until Easter. We have just had our last day of school and now hopefully can dedicate some more time to our blog. Finally do some more outfit posts just for you! So stay tuned.

Outdoor in Berlin: Berlin Festival

The Naked and Famous Pantha du Prince Last saturday me and my friend went to the Berlin Festival. The music festival was located in Tempelhof, Berlin’s former airport. Huge stages were built up in the hangars and many food stands were offering festival delicacies like veggie burger or pasta. However the atmosphere was great- people just wanted to hear good music and have a good time. While sunset everyone sat on the ground, dipped in sun beams, relaxing. Our personal hightlights of the night (yes, there were several!) were Florrie (soon I’ll do a whole post on her, she has been so impressive), of course Naked and Famous, as well as Pantha du Prince and lastly Boys Noize- they rock!

A Perfect Night

Very rarely we can call an evenening “a perfect night”. Last saturday of holidays was a perfect night like this. I was still at Lake Garda with family and friends, so the evening began with eating pizza together and enjoying stories about travelling through Italy. After that my mom and I went to the performance of “The Black Swan” (from the choreograph from oscar winning movie “Black Swan”!) by the American Ballet. The clue was, that the performance was open air in the so called “Vittoriale” (which is someting like a very small colosseum). The setting was so beautiful, because you had full view of the lake, the dancers made their play in the foreground and everything was enlightened by the moonlight. It was one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen. After that we had some cocktails in the Hotel and even a firework was taking place at midnight.
