When looking at these images I certainly remember why I practice this form of art. The grace, the beauty, the strength and the effortlessness is just divine. And perfectly captured by the team behind the NYC Dance Project, Ken Browar and Deborah Ory. Capturing the right moment in dance through photography isn’t easy and it takes time to develop the right eye. But these two are just amazing and are true leaders in this form of craft. Make sure to pre-order their book, filled with delicately chosen pictures.
We try to at least once a weak meet for coffee, blog talk and snapping some pictures. Because we both work full time and study as well, sometimes it is hard to find time. But somehow, we always manage! We love that Berlin has so many quiet and nice streets, that are also green with flowers. It just very much feels like home.
Last weekend I was lucky enough to visit Kopenhagen with my boyfriend. At first, honestly, I was expecting a rather small and calm city. However, my expectations were exceeded completely! Kopenhagen is a beautiful, interesting, design affiliate, artful, easy-going city with a high quality of life. We actually managed to walk through the whole city in one weekend, our favorite districts definitely being the area near Nyhavn and the city centre. We can highly recommend to visit Rosenborg and Amalienborg, take a boat tour starting at Nyhavn, visit the Rundetaarn and just stroll through all the beautiful narrow streets. I also loved that there are so many interior design and lightning shops!
Last weekend my dancer colleague Davina and I took the chance to snap some spring inspired pictures under these beautiful blooming trees. They just make the perfect backdrop for such pictures and when they bloom you have to be real quick because as quickly as they grow the blossoms will be gone again just after a stormy day.
Yesterday, we met to discuss some last details about the new blog and snap some pictures on the way. We were both super happy and in a spring mood, since the weather was finally summer and temperatures were rising. We are more than interested in what you think of our new page – share your thoughts in a comment or feel free to send us an email! We both are jewelry lovers which is why we are more than happy to share these delicate pieces with you. Finding the right accessories is not easy and it can take years until you have found the appropriate jewelry fitting your style and your mood. Choosing jewelry everyday can be really nerve-racking and somehow you get used to the same necklace, the same pair of earrings or the same bracelet. A routine kicks in. Therefore it is really important to add the one or other new piece to your treasure box so you can sometimes get rid of your normal pattern. These pictures are the results from another photo-shooting with Dean. Remember our other photo sessions with him? You can take a look at them here and here. It’s always a pleasure to work with someone talented and you feel happy with the outcome. both dresses are from Weekday
Christmas is coming closer and we want to make sure that you have the right gifts ready for your beloved ones. Boys, let us tell you this: we love cozy cute sweaters and delicate jewelry pieces. Sence Copenhagen (one of our all-time favorites) is really one of those perfect little gifts for Christmas. Not too glittery and over-sized. When it comes to sweater make sure to buy one which offers a good quality. French Connection for example has some absolutely lovely ones in their winter collection as well as Maje and Whistles.
Time is going so fast. These picture are already two months old but I still wanted to share them with you since I will be going back to Oxford next week to visit my boyfriend. A few years ago I lived close to Oxford for three and a half years which somehow makes this city a really important part of my life. I enjoyed coming back and I’m looking forward to being there again in a couple of days. (Got to eat fish and chips, again!)
Autumn has arrived in Paris and it makes this city even more beautiful than it already is… We are celebrating the season traditionally with some cozy sweaters, my favorite pair of SOFTCLOX and many long walks around the city. Shoes – Softclox Knitwear – Gold&Silver
