Rose Garden Berlin

The last weeks have been quiet on Midnight Couture – life happened and we couldn’t do much about it! We have both been working on some amazing projects, some of them were more demanding and since blogging can be considered a full-time job nowadays, that’s why there has been a lack of posts! However, I’m quite proud to announce that the project I’ve been working on more than one year now is called Rose Garden – a deli & concept store in Berlin Mitte. I’ve been involved in the whole creative process of this project, being responsible for interior design, conception, marketing, social media and press work. Since a couple of days, our store set-up is finally ready and we are already opening our doors from time to time to let the team warm up. There will soon be more posts about Rose Garden and I will announce our official opening date! Until then, feel free to follow us on Instagram and Facebook to get more updates of my work – @rosegardenberlin – I happy …

Brunch in Zurich: Babu’s Bakery

In my opinion, Babu’s Bakery is one of the coziest breakfast spots in whole Zurich. The interior is traditional and romantic, and the food is delicious. You can either order pancakes, waffles, bagels or egg dishes but there are also some fitness alternatives like Bircher Muesli, Acai Bowls and Greek yoghurt. You should also try their excellent coffee! Price $$$$$ // Service ☆☆☆☆☆ // Location ☆☆☆☆☆ // Taste ☆☆☆☆☆ Babu’s Bakery Löwenstrasse 1 8001 Zurich What To Wear to this location

Brunch in New York: Fiore

Fiore is a cozy Italian restaurant, serving brunch, lunch and dinner daily. We went on a Saturday to have brunch and it was awesome! We recommend the strawberry pancakes with lemon zest ricotta and the frittatas (“egg cakes” served with spinach and mozzarella). You can also go boozy and get some cocktails! Make sure to bring money along because they only except cash. Price $$$$$ // Service ☆☆☆☆☆ // Location ☆☆☆☆☆ // Taste ☆☆☆☆☆ Fiore 284 Grand Street Brooklyn, NY 11211 What To Wear to this location

Dinner in Berlin: Brasserie Colette

Another culinary highlight lead by Tim Raue was recently opened in Berlin. Directly across the street from famous KaDeWe, Brasserie Colette is a French Bistro at high level. What I loved most about Colette is the elegant interior – the overall tone is dark, there is lots of golden elements, colorful floral cushions and a (typically French) wooden built-in shelf. The food is delicious and fine, maybe the portions are somewhat smaller than you would expect at a Brasserie… But apart from that, we can only recommend this place for a cozy dinner! PS: they wine selection is fabulous! Price $$$$$ // Service ☆☆☆☆☆ // Location ☆☆☆☆☆ // Taste ☆☆☆☆☆ Brasserie Colette Passauer Straße 5-7 10789 Berlin What To Wear to this location

Brunch in Berlin: House of small Wonder

In Williamsburg, House of Small Wonder was one of my favorite cafés because they make the best matcha latte in town! That’s why I was super happy to discover that another House of Small Wonder opened in Berlin some time ago! I love that the place is super cozy and instantly transports me back to my times in Williamsburg. Go there for all day brunch and lunch in a nice atmosphere. Dinner in Berlin: Crackers

Crackers is one of the new hotspots in Berlin. It has an impressive interior that is both chic and cool, and foremost very “Berlin”. We loved the warm freshly made brioche that comes as a starter and the vegetarian burger with mushrooms. Crackers is definitely the place to be on a Saturday or Friday night, before heading out to dance. Coffee in New York: The Bakeshop by Woops

The Bakeshop by Woops in Williamsburg is a place of indulgence – their cookies are beyond delicious and to die for! Actually, all the baked goods are just delicious and the hardest thing is to decide which one to treat yourself with. Healthy in Potsdam: good dEATs

The healthy eating trend is still growing strong and little cafés pop up like flowers in spring. Good dEATs, located in the heart of Potsdam, is another of these healthy spots. Everything served here is vegan. Mainly they offer breakfast and cakes as well as little chocolate bites. On Friday evening you can enjoy some vegan burgers. Brunch in New York: Jack’s Wife Freda

New York has so many good brunch places – today we tried another. Jack’s Wife Freda is situated in New York’s cool West Village, on Lafayette Street and a total must for brunch fans like us. The menu serves classic american dishes with mediterranean influences. The atmosphere is familiar and everyone is extremely friendly. I also liked the simple but chic american bistro-like interior. Dinner in Berlin: Long March Canteen

Berlin is a place so full of culinary experiences from all over the world, this intercultural mix makes the city so extraordinary. Recently, we discovered the Long March Canteen, a Dim Sum place in Kreuzberg. We love their cool interior design and all different kinds of hot and cold Dim Sums with a refreshing beer.
