Paris Photo Diary

Since I have never ever been to Paris before this was a really special vacation for me. I have already heard so many things about this city which made me even more curious to visit it. And this was actually the perfect way to discover the french capital. Jana already knows so much about the city and you don’t need a tourist guide to run around with. It’s always more fun to explore a place with someone who already knows it because they can show you the real sides you need to see and try. Here are some pictures I took while staying in Paris. The weather was absolutely beautiful and we were able to walk a lot – killing feet at the end of a day though.

Coffee in Paris: Rose Bakery

Rose Bakery is a real insider’s tip for foodies in Paris thus it is the first place we’ll feature in our #parisguide. Even though the café has a very simple, rustic interior it scores with highest quality, delicious and most importantly fresh products. Favorite little treat is definitely either the crumble with red fruits or the matcha green tea and raspberry loaf. It goes perfectly with a freshly brewed coffee or one of their many different teas. However you have to expect some not so cheap prices. A caffe latte costs € 4,00 and the cakes start at € 7,00. Nevertheless it’s a one time experience you need to try in Paris. You can also enjoy some lunch dishes for which you will pay from € 10 to € 19. Place Vendôme: SOFTCLOX in Paris

I have grown up to not feeling obliged to wear too fancy, high-heeled or unpractical shoes in my daily life (during the day) anymore – moreover, people would rather describe myself as a little more conscious or maybe even “green” when it comes to my feet. Therefore, I am always looking for shoe models that would be comfortable to wear without sacrificing style on the way. That is why SOFTCLOX eventually has become one of my favorite shoes brands. They feel comfortable even though worn from dusk ’till dawn and always look stylish! This time I would like to present SOFTCLOX model “Ines” to you- a black ankle boot made of soft Nubuk leather, which has a snake-like texture. The sole is made of high-quality alder wood from Europe that perfectly adjusts to your feet. These shoes totally saved my feet during Paris Fashion Week! The White Blazer

Every woman should own a classic, well-fitted black and white blazer. They simply give every outfit this business-chic and also underline a tough personalty. Even a casual jeans and T-Shirt combination will look absolutely stunning with a blazer. You simply can’t have enough of them but certainly you need black and white in your closet first before any other colour. White Blazer – Sheinside Boots – Doc Martens Bag – Vintage

Crazy Horse Paris

When you’re in Paris you need to try something different. So, on Friday evening we headed to le Crazy Horse de Paris. An absolutely stunning show! Not many people have heard of this but you should certainly get to know it. “Femininity, creativity, audacity … The most avant-garde cabaret in Paris”. Amazing costumes and stunning performances. Those ladies are absolutely beautiful and it’s so much fun to watch them. However you have to expect a lot of nudity since they are doing burlesque performances. PFW S/S 2015: Dior Show

Fashion Week madness in Paris. One week ago we decided to take a look at the outfits in front of the Dior fashion show at Cour Carrée du Louvre. Totally crazy! People screaming and shouting, running and gliding. When Anne Dello Russo came she walked directly into our direction and when Dakota Fanning arrived everyone went crazy. I’m not sure how I got the picture of her but you can see it here (Nr. 6). Also Coco Rocha and Natalia Vodianova walked by with their bodyguards. In the end Marion Cotillard came who we sadly missed since we were so hungry we had to find something for lunch. Which meant, ending up in a little backyard park with super delicious falafel.

Breakfast in Oxford: Vaults & Garden Cafe

In Oxford I had the absolut pleasure to enjoy a delicious breakfast at The Vaults & Garden Cafe housed in Oxford Universitie’s Old Congregation House of 1320. My boyfriend opt for the full breakfast. Meaning organic eggs, air-cured free-range bacon, grilled tomatoes, mushrooms & toasted artisan bread coasting £5.45 in total. While I decided to go for some scrambled eggs on toast (artisan bread) paying £3.75 for this delicious dish. As a drink we had a big pot of English breakfast tea which is called Leaf Tea for two if you will be looking for that on their menu (price £3.55). Besides that we also tried their delicious gluten-free and vegan chocolate brownie for £2.50 – it was a true sensation! At The Vaults & Garden you can also enjoy lunch and afternoon-tea with scones, homemadejam and clotted cream. Brands like Perret Schaad, Hien Le, Barre Noir, Esther Perbandt, Monya Wasilewski, Antonia Goy and Isabell de Hillerin showed their actual collections and were happy to share their individual inspirations for their pieces in a small chat.

Soft Lights in Paris

I got to meet Dean from PickledThoughts on a very early morning in the centre of Paris, near to Ile de la Cité. Dean has this incredible capability of capturing beautiful morning light, which you can definitely recognize in these shots from near the Seine. We hope you like the results and be sure to stay tuned for more common projects. Dress – H&M Pointe Shoes – Gaynor Minden
