Coffee in New York: Brooklyn Roasters

Brooklyn Roasters is my favorite coffee shop in the DUMBO area. A perfect Sunday would start with a soy latte and some work for the blog on my laptop. Afterwards, a stroll through the DUMBO area and a walk from Manhattan to Brooklyn Bridge. Afterwards, one can go to Brooklyn Heights for some shopping. Coffee and more in New York: Butterfield Market

I soon found out that a perfect day in New York City most likely looks like this to me: Firstly, visit the MET and stroll through the impressionism floor (I am a huge fan of Monet, Manet, Sargent, Degas, Renoir, Van Gogh and there are so many more…) and maybe also take a look at the Costume Institute exhibition going on. Afterwards I would totally go for a coffee and frozen yogurt break at the Butterfield Market, one of my favorite food places in New York. The Butterfield Market is basically a fine food store, selling all kinds of delicacies. There is a small bakery, cheese section, fruits and fresh produce and much more! But what I love the most is the open coffee station, where one can fill in one’s own iced coffee with Hawaiian coconut flavored brew and hazelnut americano. I would also recommend to try the frozen yogurt as long as the temperatures allow it, coffee and natural with fresh mango is my favorite combination! Finally, I would go back to the Central Park for a long walk, just …

Brunch in New York: Two Hands NYC

As by now all of our readers know that we both are huge fans of brunch. In New York, there seem to be many like-minded people thus a lot of cool brunch places for us to discover. Our first insider’s tip is situated on Mott Street, in SoHo and is called Two Hands. The place serves delicious and healthy creations, you’ll have to try the Acai bowl and the Corn Fritters. It’s basically brunch heaven. Since it was Saturday, we waited a little for our table but it was totally worth it. Coffee in New York: Blue Bottle Coffee

Life in New York City most naturally demands a lot of caffeine. That is usually why you can find very nice and skilled coffeeshops all over the city. Blue Bottle is such coffee shop, only selling coffee that is 48 hours out of the roaster, since that is when the coffee flavor peaks. Beans are sourced responsively and deliciously rich in their taste. Blue Bottle coffee has developed a small network of a couple of shops all over New York, for example in Chelsea, at the Bryant Park and on the High Line. Wood Watch

We always love to see how designers create fashion pieces out of different materials than one would expect. Especially, when it’s natural materials, like in this case: this Jord wood watch is definitely an eye-catcher to every outfit. Jord wood watches are hand-crafted and each watch is a unique piece. One must admit, the watch is just super comfortable to wear – the wood is soft and light, it feels natural to wear it and it is highly designed and stylish at the same time. Check out the Jord website for more information. In cooperation with Jord Wood Watches

A Stroll Along Central Park West

After an exhausting Fashion Week we spent the Saturday together, relaxing, strolling around and having some brunch and frozen yogurt. I love the area around Lincoln Center and Central Park West. It has so many nice boutiques and lovely places for coffee. Additionally, the Central Park is just around the corner and one can always just dive into this green oasis. NYFW Head Quarters

During Fashion Week it is a true bliss to have some places where you can just relax, take some time out and have a drink with some other fellow bloggers. New York Fashion Week of course offered such a place at the Head Quarters. There were phone chargers, refreshing summer drinks, delicious snacks and cool cooperation partners to explore.

Indian Summer

This is probably my favorite new dress I can wear from day to night just by changing my footwear. I got it at Zara a few days before I flew to New York, not expecting to be able to wear it as often as I already did. But yeah, here we are: beautiful weather in New York City. Super happy about that! Dress – Zara (new collection) Leather jacket – Stefanel Sandals – H&M
