Dinner in Potsdam: My Keng

For the locals this place isn’t a big surprise but we still want to share it with all of you. My Keng is mainly know as a sushi bar in the heart of Potsdam serving also many other delicious dishes.

All food they serve are absolutely delicious and super fresh. The open kitchen offers a direct insight and you can observe how your dish is prepared.

The price range is average for good sushis. Avocado Makis cost 4.50 € and Anago Makis (salt water eel) cost 5.00 € – see these two in the pictures above.

As a drink we highly recommend their Chanh Da a lime, mint and brown sugar mixture – super refreshing (coasting 3.80 €).

Summer Whites & Denim Blues

Even though the weather is a little dull today we are happy to share with you a very summery outfit.

In our opinion every girl should own a nice pair of white jeans or trousers for the summer season. It brightens up every outfit combination and you get an instant feeling of freshness.

We got so many plans ahead of us this and next week that we will be having a lot of content to share with you in the next couple of weeks.. no months!

Plus there are some serious chances coming to Midnight Couture – make sure to follow us on Instagram or Facebook so you get the details soon.

Dinner in Berlin: Grace

Before or after fashion week events, it is always nice to have a relaxed dinner with friends, preferably in a place that has a great atmosphere.

The restaurant Grace at Hotel Zoo is such a cozy and elegant place, where you can enjoy fabulous food and enchanting conversations.

We can highly recommend their creamy rock shrimps as a starter, their roasted salmon with wasabi-pea puree and definitely the NY cheesecake as a perfect finish.

#HashMag Blogger Lounge

These days we prefer to attend blogger events during Fashion Week, since you can meet new people and chat a little and there’s always a nice relaxed atmosphere.

On Tuesday we attended the #HashMag Blogger Lounge in Berlin Mitte and it was a really nice experience. We loved the idea to invite all bloggers to make their own floral wreaths. We both are always in for some handicraft work, to build something beautiful on your own always gives you a good feeling!

After the event we headed to dinner at the Grace restaurant. We’ll give you an update about that night soon so stay tuned!

Breakfast in Weimar: Fama Café & Bücher

During my last stay in Weimar my boyfriend and I took the chance to try this beautiful little café called Fama. It is located in the heart of the city and serves delicious breakfast as well as lunch and cake in the afternoon.

Everything you see on the table was absolutely delicious and the price was more than fair. In total we paid 22.90 € – which is absolutely appropriate for what we enjoyed.

Only tiny little minus point: it took a while until everything was served but certainly waiting was for it.

Hair Couture

When you are a dancer and frequently doing performances at the theatre, you need styling products that you can rely on. Your hair is often already stressed due to many make-overs and lack of time.

Mostly, you will find yourself in a situation where you have your performance earlier that night but also have some event to attend afterwards. That is when you need to create a cool hairstyle with products that do not damage your hair further but rather make it stronger, supporting the styling in the right way.

Today, we took the time to try out a new hairstyle, working with products by Sebastian Professional. For our styling we made use of two products, ERUPTEK and RESINTEK.

ERUPTEK has a texture that feels like lava and creates instant volume for your hair. Especially when styling curls, ERUPTEK is the perfect helper to have stronger and more long-lasting curls.

We used the RESINTEK liquid wax in order to fixate the hair on one side, to get a more edgy and cool one-sided look. The product provides reliable hold but at the same time you can adjust the look numerous times.

In our opinion, the two styling products combine the best of both worlds: they provide you with super strong hold and sexy volume but at the same time with flexibility to change a look as many times as necessary. Exactly what you need when you have a full calendar but still want to be styled appropriately for every occasion!

My ten favorite Places in Amsterdam

1. CT Coffee and Coconuts is the best place in Amsterdam to have breakfast. Apart from this, I love the cozy yet exotic atmosphere the place has.

2. The Skylounge Amsterdam has a panoramic view of the whole metropolis. It is the perfect place to sit on the roof terrace and enjoy some cocktails with your friends.

3. If you are a fan of architecture, a stroll through Herengracht, Keizergracht and Prinsengracht should be enough to amaze your eye.

4. I love to buy my groceries at the Albert Cuyp Market. The De Pijp area is lovely and there are many small boutiques and cafés along the way.

5. The Vondel Park is Amsterdam’s biggest green oasis. You can go there for a run or a walk and observe many happy dogs playing in the meadows.

6. The EYE film museum doesn’t only show interesting exhibitions, it is also an architectural eye-catcher with a lot of wide space and sharp edges. Have a coffee or drink on the terrace or visit the restaurant.

7. The National Opera & Ballet house at Waterlooplein has an amazing view through the canals, because of the buildings wide windows. You should have a drink and watch the sunset before a beautiful ballet performance is about to commence. Rising star on the ballet sky Michaela de Prince is dancing for the Dutch National Ballet, it is captivating to watch her dance.

8. On Sundays I love to stroll around the Noordermarkt area. There is a vintage market and several nice cafés to sit in the sun and enjoy a famous Dutch apple pie.

9. The Keukenhof is a beautiful tulip garden in Amsterdam. It regularly hosts shows and exhibitions, displaying the most beautiful kinds of Dutch flowers.

10. Amsterdam’s concert house Concertgebouw is an international hot spot for finest music, classical but with a modern touch. There are also Sunday morning concerts with reduced prices for students including a guided tour through the building.

Breakfast in Berlin: Grand Café Cappuccino

The area around Kurfürstendamm is predestined to enjoy the sun, sip a coffee and have a lovely breakfast with a good friend.

The Grand Café Cappuchino, the extension of restaurant institutions like Petrocelli, is a perfect spot to do just this.

Last time, we both enjoyed the fitness breakfast and it was a real treat. Definitely another favorite brunch and breakfast spot in Berlin!
