Coffee in New York: Chalait

This place is of course nothing new to the New York-coffer-lover-scene and for sure attracts the fashion pack. Inspired by the matcha tradition of Japan, Chalait offers a whole variety of matcha products. The name of the café derives from Cha (tea in Japanese) and lait (milk in French). Besides the delicious coffee you can enjoy some little snacks such as fresh banana bread, cookies, avocado-egg toast and stuffed croissants. And if you feel the need to have some Chalait at home, you can buy some of their products in store and online. Soon they will open another spot at Chelsea Market. Breakfast in Berlin: The Klub Kitchen

Some days ago we went to The Klub Kitchen to try out their granola, which is supposed to be very good. Unfortunately, even at 11 am there was no granola available because it was still in the making… However, we then opted for an avocado rye bread toast with A LOT of salad. It was nice but maybe a little sour. Nevertheless, The Klub Kitchen is a nice hang-out if you are searching for a quick coffee and minimalistic design. Shopping & Food in Berlin: The Store

The Store in Berlin is a unique concept, which is mixing gastronomy, co-working and shopping. It is a hang-out for startup founders and freelancers, spending their day working on their MacBooks and sipping cappuccinos. It also is a store for modern street style, decorative items, books and music. And lastly, if that wasn’t enough already, it’s a restaurant for breakfast and lunch. The lunch always consists of five different salads, that go together in a bowl and are always healthy and delicious. I can also highly recommend their cold-pressed juices, which are actually made by hand and on-site in a small juicery truck – try the Beetroot, Pineapple, Ginger! Coffee in Milan: Bar Luce

Throwback to a wonderful time in Milan. Of course I had to visit Bar Luce, part of the Fondazione Prada und fully designed by creative genius Wes Anderson. I can actually say, I felt more like being part of a colorful film set like the one of Grand Budapest Hotel that being in a café in Milan. But that is exactly what makes Bar Luce so exciting – it is so otherworldly, it transports you into a different place and you can somehow fade out day-to-day life. Healthy in Berlin: Superfoods & Organic Liquids

It is no secret that healthy food is big in Berlin. If you walk down Weinbergsweg in Mitte, you’ll find one organic food store after the other. Superfoods & Organic Liquids is one of them. The store is small but has a stylish interior and nice menu variety for the size of the café. I really liked that there were different fruit toppings to their bircher mueslis or chia puddings, either raspberry acai or mango. I can also recommend the coffee with a huge matcha or chocolate cookie on the side! Sweet Treat in Potsdam: Krümelfee

Cupcakes, small sweet treats varying in color, flavor and form. Normally we are not such big fans of these super sweet bits but those served at the Café Krümelfee are really enjoyable. Just the right amount of icing and size to be satisfied but not over-sweetened. You cans also enjoy a vegan creation if you wish. If you are suffering a lactose intolerance or just prefer other types of milk you will be happy here. Besides normal milk they also have soy milk in their range. And if you need a nice catering company they are happy to help you out. Coffee in Toronto: Dineen

One thing is for sure: Toronto is a coffee-loving city and we are more than happy about it! One of my favorite coffee spots is Dineen, located downtown in the financial district. I love the cafe’s distinct interior – it is both cozy and very sophisticated. I also appreciate the nice “milk bar”, just a table with different sorts of milk and sugar but arranged in a super lovely way with some flowers and silver covers for the milk cartons. During the week the place will probably always be crowded but still you’ll get your coffee outright.
