The Trench

I‘ve been looking for the perfect trench coat for quite a while now… Last week, I finally fount it at Club Monaco in the Central Park West area! A trench coat is like the most essential piece a girl should own, it goes with nearly everything and is supposed to upgrade your outfit instantly. I love the classic beige color of this one and the cut, also the material is just super comfortable and does not wrinkle when worn. I could literally buy everything at Club Monaco, their style is just exactly what I imagine my wardrobe to be! Brunch in New York: House of Small Wonder

As soon as you live in New York for a while, you will realize that Brooklyn is like a whole distinct world and you don’t necessarily have to travel to Manhattan all the time if you live there. You”ll have your own micro cosmos, you favorite coffee shop, brunch place, food market and so on… Last weekend we tried the brunch/lunch/dinner cafe “House of Small Wonder” in Williamsburg. They offer the best matcha cappuccino and homemade gluten free bread and granola. Coffee in New York: Brooklyn Roasters

Brooklyn Roasters is my favorite coffee shop in the DUMBO area. A perfect Sunday would start with a soy latte and some work for the blog on my laptop. Afterwards, a stroll through the DUMBO area and a walk from Manhattan to Brooklyn Bridge. Afterwards, one can go to Brooklyn Heights for some shopping. Coffee and more in New York: Butterfield Market

I soon found out that a perfect day in New York City most likely looks like this to me: Firstly, visit the MET and stroll through the impressionism floor (I am a huge fan of Monet, Manet, Sargent, Degas, Renoir, Van Gogh and there are so many more…) and maybe also take a look at the Costume Institute exhibition going on. Afterwards I would totally go for a coffee and frozen yogurt break at the Butterfield Market, one of my favorite food places in New York. The Butterfield Market is basically a fine food store, selling all kinds of delicacies. There is a small bakery, cheese section, fruits and fresh produce and much more! But what I love the most is the open coffee station, where one can fill in one’s own iced coffee with Hawaiian coconut flavored brew and hazelnut americano. I would also recommend to try the frozen yogurt as long as the temperatures allow it, coffee and natural with fresh mango is my favorite combination! Finally, I would go back to the Central Park for a long walk, just …

Dinner in New York: Aurora

Aurora is probably one of the most romantic spots in Williamsburg. You’ll love sitting in this patio lit by typical NY light chains. But not only the atmosphere is amazing, also the food is absolutely worthwhile. The menu features Italian food, as well as daily specials. We can among others recommend the Paccheri alla Norma, wheat pasta with roasted eggplant, melted tomato, buffalo mozzarella and pine nut pesto or a refreshing Insalata con Gorgonzola with baby spinach and walnut vinaigrette.
