Moments of Spring

I own this Burberry coat for at least seven years now and nothing has changed about my love for it since this beauty left the store with me back then. If you feel annoyed by searching the perfect trenchcoat then you should simply invest into this classic piece. I do certainly know that it is worth a fortune but I have never ever bought another trench after this one. Trenchcoat – Burberry Sweater – French Connection Pants – Zara Shoes – Zara

Brunch in Berlin: Spreegold

Sundays are made for late and long breakfast/brunch sessions. Yesterday I headed to the under Berlin inhabitants pretty well-known Spreegold where they serve fresh food and drinks all day long. However I was keen on trying their breakfast and honestly, it was absolutely delicious. My boyfriend ate the Spreegold’s Brunch “The Best” plate (€ 18,50) and had a Green Mint Iced Tea (€ 3,80) as a refreshment. I had a bowl of whole milk yoghurt with granola and fresh fruits (€ 4,50) as well as Buttermilk pancakes with fruits, sour cream and maple syrup (€ 7,90). As a drink I just ordered a plain Caffé Latte (€ 3,50). All in all it was really yummy but as you can see what each dish and drink costs you can tell what we payed for it in total. Not a weekly indulgence! Of course you can also choose something different from the menu but mainly the breakfast plates start at € 7,50 and up. Another thing which will give this spot a tiny minus point was the speed of the staff. Two guys were running …

Brunch in Berlin: Set’s

Set’s is the typical morning/noon hangout for late brunchers on a sunday but also the perfect place to have a coffee or lunch during working days. Set’s offers self-made sourdough bread with different spreads – one more delicious than the other. Also, try their Bircher Müsli and fresh fruit salad! Lunch in Berlin: Mmaah

The past weekend I had the chance to attend the opening event of Mmaah, a Korean BBQ bistro located in Berlin Neukölln. After opening their first venue close to the underground station Boddinstraße the two owners have made another step with this opening. To be honest I have never tried Korean food and was more than thrilled to give it a try. In the pictures you can see the Mandu, Korean dough bags, and the Mmaah BBQ Potatoes. Both absolutely delicious! A small dish coasts € 4,50 and an XL one € 7,50 – all served with rice and fresh salad. As a drink I had a hot Mmaah ginger tea which was so warming and healthy, costing € 3,00. Natural Beauty

This year, the Lavera Showfloor started with an opening show with prominent guests like Elisa Sednaoui, Elisabetta Canalis and Evelyn Hall. The opening show featured Danish designer Ann Wiberg, showing beautiful her “trash couture” made out of antique fabrics, laces, beads and embroideries. The entire collection is sewn in her own atelier in Copenhagen and is destined to minimize waste and give a second life to pre-worn pieces of fabrics. Ann Wiberg is one of few designers who offer individualized services for designing a unique gown for a special event, wedding etc. Her couture is both “poetic and contemporary”.

Blogger Bazaar Loft

Fashion Week. Again. We have to be really honest now: we don’t have that much time to visit all those shows and events which we are invited to. This is because we both work and we both study. Which means time is limited. We are always happy about every invitation but especially during the Fashion Week in January we are so busy with studying, working on projects (blog, work and dancing) that we don’t find the time for a 10 minute show. And most of all we won’t be able to make it to an after-party since we have to get-up early in the morning. However this Wednesday I took the chance to visit the Loft of the Blogger Bazaar team in Berlin Mitte. It was absolutely stunning. The location (a Penthouse located at Rosenthaler Platz) was flawless and the interior was divine. Plus the girls of Blogger Bazaar had put together an amazing line-up of partners. Bumble and Bumble, Smashbox, Zign, Olympus, Filippa K. – just to name a few. And everyone was there …

Drinks and Dinner in Berlin: Grace at Hotel Zoo

Berlin has a new hotspot – the Grace Bar and Restaurant at the Hotel Zoo. The Grace opened its doors 10. January 2015 and offers a “Drinking and Dining” concept that unites foreign and traditional flavors into an exceptional culinary experience. Apart from the superior quality of Grace’s food and drinks, the location has a unique atmosphere and interior design, created by well-known designer Dayna Lee from New York/ LA. We can warmly recommend the excellent “Whiskey Sour” or “Wild Berry Punch” (non-alcoholic and made with fresh wild berries). check availability and book a room here Hotel Zoo Kurfürstendamm 25 10719 Berlin What To Wear to this location

A day in January

Yesterday we attended a second Blogger-Breakfast with Abury together. It was fun to meet the team again and hear what is going on with their idea – huge exciting things are coming-up for them and we are super happy to be one of the first ones to know. Along with this occasion we took the chance to snap some new outfit pictures. The weather is still pretty nasty in Berlin (crazy storm going on outside). But still at least it’s not too cold.

Breakfast in Berlin: Barcomi’s

Cynthia Barcomi was born in Seattle and moved to Berlin in 1985 after she finished her studies at the Columbia University in New York City. She opened her first coffee roasters and bakery in 1994, the second one followed in 1997. This time she decided to open a Deli in Berlin-Mitte serving fresh cakes, cookies, bagels and delicious coffee. Before Christmas my Mum and I had breakfast at this place and really loved it. I ate Barcomi’s Granola (€ 4,50) while my Mum enjoyed a NY special bagel with smoked salmon and onions (€ 6,70). For drinks we had Chai Tea (€ 3,60) and a fresh ginger tea with honey (€ 3,20). Not that cheap but worth the price. If you want to go to this place be early or make a reservation beforehand – just to be on the save side.
