Midnight Couture wishes a Merry Christmas!

It has grown to be our little tradition to surprise our readers with a special shooting each year for Christmas! This time our pictures involve a lot of joy and movement- we have never been fans of stiff pictures and due to our common history as dancers we somehow can only flourish when we are on the move! What is more, this year we have been supported by numerous people and we are very thankful for everything! Thanks to the marvelous photographers team of Johannes Räbel and Reinhardt&Sommer for gorgeous shots and the right equipment. Thank you very much Zalando for providing us with the latest fashion for the shoot. Last but not least a big thank you to Calma Hotel in Berlin Mitte for the location! The pieces you see in the pictures Black dress – Mango (current collection) Short dark blue dress – Zara (current collection, not online available) Silver sequin dress – TFNC London (old) Long red dress – H&M (old) Statement necklace – StyleR by post (worn by Vanessa) Statement necklace – Zara (worn by …

French Tea Time

Yesterday, we gladly accepted an invitation to our first French Tea time ever at Concorde Hotel Berlin. We surely knew the old tradition of English Tea but we have never experienced the French version up until now! One thing we can tell for sure- it was more than delicious and involved for example freshly made apricot macarons, madeleines and the finest jasmine tea ever! Thank you so much for having us, we are already excited for the next event that may come up.

A CityWest Shopping Guide for Hotel Concorde

When Hotel Concorde came along with the idea that we could create a Berlin City West Shopping Guide for their blog it was hard to resist the chance. We selected a hand full of stores located on and around Kurfürstendamm which we visited on a Saturday afternoon to snap some pictures. Afterwards we had the chance to dine in the Brasserie Le Faubourg. Our store list: Bücherbogen Amorph BCBG Max Azria Mulberry Strenesse See the whole article on the Hotel Concorde Blog

SisterMag

As promised (first post this way) here come the official pictures from the photoshoot I did for SisterMag. The photographer of the pictures is Cristopher Santos, a really cool and easy-going guy. It was such a pleasure to work with him and the SisterMag team. Pictures taken by Cristopher Santos

Sweet Treat in Berlin: Youghurt

You know we love food (and taking pictures of food). For some years now we noticed that people around us try to eat more healthy and keep an eye on what is in their food. When Jan from Youghurt invited us over to try their Müsli (cereals), frozen yoghurt, smoothies and fresh toppings we couldn’t resist. You come in and chose everything yourself and how much of each topping you want. In the end you pay by weight (100g = € 1,99). If you decide to visit Youghurt you will find a self-service bistro which serves healthy fast food on a fresh basis. Their newest addition? Salads and soups. Jan and Magi (married couple), owner and founder of the store, love what they do and what they have created. You can really feel their passion for the concept and the store which is why we also would come back and visit them for a FroYo and a chat. Youghurt Berlin Leipziger Platz 12 10117 Berlin

Wiesn Special

Dear Readers! We are more than proud to present a very special post to you, dedicated to one of the oldest traditions in German culture- the Oktoberfest! A special thank you certainly goes to the excellent Hotel Bayrisches Haus in Potsdam which functioned as the perfect location for our little shooting! Furthermore, we would like to recommend the German “Dirndl” designer Lola Paltinger who is situated in Munich. Her collections show exquisite Dirndl dresses with many fancy details, exceptionally beautiful fabrics as well as lovely accessories (as you may see below). Another special tip: tonight the Café am neuen See (surely one of Berlin’s most beautiful places) will host a Oktoberfest Event. If you are quick there will still be tables available. You can book via email info@cafeamneuensee.de or call 030 – 81 88 62 36 for reservations.

Shades of Autumn

Slowly but surely we have to take out our favorite sweaters and hot beverages may warm our cold hands! We already miss summer but we are surely looking forward to the trees being covered with orange leaves and autumn sun shining all over.
