Drinks in Amsterdam: Mata Hari Bar

Mata Hari is a real insider’s tip in Amsterdam. The bar is hidden within the red light district and you wouldn’t expect such a cozy and comfortable atmosphere considering the surroundings. The interior consists of vintage furniture and many different antique details, building a casual hang-out setting. Upstairs is the restaurant, offering dishes with an exotic twist. Downstairs in the bar, a extensive drinks menu is awaiting, featuring classics like Moscow mule, different gin tonics or beers. The place is open daily for lunch, dinner and drinks and offers fair trade products whenever it is possible. Drinks in Berlin: Monkey Berlin

The Monkey Bar is another hotspot situated in the west of Berlin. It has a gorgeous view through all it’s wide glass windows and is aptly named “Monkey Bar”, since you are able to observe the monkeys of the Berlin Zoo from up there. The Monkey bar serves delicious drinks (try the Gin Basil Smash or the homemade lemonade) and some bar snacks like sweet potato fries or Caesar salad. However, here’s a fair warning: the Monkey Bar has been recommended in many travel guides thus it tends to be really crowded on weekends and nights in general. So either decide to go early or schedule a bit of waiting time – the view and atmosphere is worth it. Dinner in Oxford: Jamie’s Italian

While staying in Oxford my boyfriend took me to the restaurant Jamie’s Italian. What comes to your mind when you hear this name? Yes, it’s Jamie Oliver, the famous british cook. The concept was founded in Oxford which is why we here have the first restaurant of this kind (but he himself was not there of course). However the dinner was absolutely delicious and don’t expect inflated prices. I enjoyed the salad called Market Superfood (small £5.95 / as main dish £10.95).This salad was filled with avocado, shaved fennel, candied beets, pulses, Italian sprouting broccoli, creamy cottage cheese, pomegranate, smashed nuts and seeds. Served with a fennel blossom Sicilian harissa. A real heaven! My boyfriend ate an italian steak with Italian-spiced skinny fries (£15.95). As drinks we head a non-alcoholic ginger mojito (£3.25) and a homemade lemonade (£2.95). Drinks in Oxford: The House

My boyfriend took me to this place when I was in Oxford in November. And I have to say: I loved it! The House is a bar located in the city center of Oxford. You get there through a narrow alley and will find an absolutely stylish place. The interior is classic and was also location to a Vogue photo shooting. Besides that it was listed on Elle magazines Top 25 Bars in 2010. Best time to go there is during their happy hour which runs from 5pm to 9pm Sunday to Thursday and 5pm to 8pm Friday and Saturday. Cocktails start from £3.95 during that time. For House beer and wine you pay around £2.95 Price $$$$$ // Service ☆☆☆☆☆ // Location ☆☆☆☆☆ // Taste ☆☆☆☆☆ The House Blue Boar St Oxford OX1 4EE Sunday to Wednesday / 5pm to Midnight Thursday, Friday and Saturday / 5pm till 1am What To Wear to this location

Dinner in Paris: Le Dépanneur

Californian food cantine Le Dépanneur is the right place in Paris if you are craving for a delicious burger and a pint of Brookly Lager beer. We can also warmly recommend their quinoa salad with feta cheese, pomegranate and almonds. The place is designed in a super stylish but rustic way, cozy but at the same time very simple. Altogether, it’s just the perfect place to hang out with your friends on a night out! Le Dépanneur 27 rue pierre fontaine 75009 Paris What To Wear to this location

BFW S/S 2014: Photo Diary

Yesterday was our first really day at Fashion Week here in Berlin. We attended the show of holyGhost at the Brandenburger Tor. It was a nice collection with sequin and silk pieces. The colourful dresses were a bit too much though. Afterwards we enjoyed a Frozen Yogurt (again, we know. But it’s too good) and headed home to study for our exams again. Today we will be out again for the GLAW Fashion Show. We are looking forward to that one. But before that we will enjoy lunch together.

A drink on the terrace

These pictures are connected to the post before this one. We had a special meeting on the rooftop of Hotel De Rome in Mitte (btw. Sandra Bullock was in that Hotel for a press conference at the same time, didn’t see here though). It was super hot that day and the cold drinks on the terrace came just in time. We hope you are all having a lovely Weekend!
