Sweet Treat in Leipzig: Marshalls Mum

During a short weekend get-away to Leipzig I visited this cute litte café serving delicious sweet treats. Marshalls Mum is located in the south of Leipzig and offers a welcoming atmosphere. They are mainly known for their cupcakes (also vegan ones) but also offer fresh cakes, brownies and macaroons. The coffee they serve has a really good flavor and along normal milk they also offer soy and oat milk. If you plan to visit on the weekend I recommend to make a reservation. Price $$$$$ // Service ☆☆☆☆☆ // Location ☆☆☆☆☆ // Taste ☆☆☆☆☆ Marshalls Mum August-Bebel-Straße 1 04275 Leipzig

Breakfast in London: Briki

Briki is a Greek breakfast café and deli situated in the east of London. They offer a delicious granola with greek yoghurt, fruits and honey, as well as some baked goods and coffee. Besides their breakfast card they offer a nice lunch menu, also for take-away (the price is a little lower then). It is a cozy and simple spot for a quick breakfast or a coffee in the morning. You really must try their award winning coffee which is roasted from high-quality green coffee beans. Acai-Bowl

One of our obsessions since New York are Acai bowls. After we tried the Acai bowl at TwoHands we were more than willing to try it ourselves and share it with you. Here is what you need: one frozen banana, 100g frozen raspberries, 75ml almond milk (you can also go for soy or coconut milk) and one tablespoon Acai powder, fresh berries (blueberries, raspberries, strawberries – it’s up to you), granola, chia seeds, pumpkin seeds and nuts. How to make: Freeze a banana (cut into pieces) one night in advance. Add the banana, frozen raspberries, almond milk and Acai powder to a mixer and blend. Serve in a bowl. Garnish with the remaining ingredients. Shop some bowls

Brunch in Berlin: House of small Wonder

In Williamsburg, House of Small Wonder was one of my favorite cafés because they make the best matcha latte in town! That’s why I was super happy to discover that another House of Small Wonder opened in Berlin some time ago! I love that the place is super cozy and instantly transports me back to my times in Williamsburg. Go there for all day brunch and lunch in a nice atmosphere. Dinner in Berlin: Crackers

Crackers is one of the new hotspots in Berlin. It has an impressive interior that is both chic and cool, and foremost very “Berlin”. We loved the warm freshly made brioche that comes as a starter and the vegetarian burger with mushrooms. Crackers is definitely the place to be on a Saturday or Friday night, before heading out to dance. Healthy in Potsdam: good dEATs

The healthy eating trend is still growing strong and little cafés pop up like flowers in spring. Good dEATs, located in the heart of Potsdam, is another of these healthy spots. Everything served here is vegan. Mainly they offer breakfast and cakes as well as little chocolate bites. On Friday evening you can enjoy some vegan burgers. Healthy in Berlin: DALUMA

To visit DALUMA at Rosenthaler Platz in Berlin was long on our to-do list. Past Friday, we finally made it! What can be said is that DALUMA is definitely the right place if you like healthy vegan food, basically all that is green! The place itself is simple but it’s food is nutritious and freshly made. Brunch in New York: Jack’s Wife Freda

New York has so many good brunch places – today we tried another. Jack’s Wife Freda is situated in New York’s cool West Village, on Lafayette Street and a total must for brunch fans like us. The menu serves classic american dishes with mediterranean influences. The atmosphere is familiar and everyone is extremely friendly. I also liked the simple but chic american bistro-like interior. Drinks in Toronto: El Catrin

When you go out in Toronto, you should definitely go to the distillery district. You’ll find lots of unique bars with great designs. We went to El Catrin, which is the Mexican place to be in the area. The interior design is breathtaking – it is inspired by the Mexican cult of “Day Of The Dead” with colorful wall paintings and big, black, adorned lamps, which creates a unique and vibrant atmosphere. You should at last get one of their delicious mojito pitchers with some tacos (the guacamole will be prepared freshly at your desk!).
