Berlin is a place so full of culinary experiences from all over the world, this intercultural mix makes the city so extraordinary. Dinner in New York: Rosa Mexicano

I‘m a huge fan of Mexican cuisine and was more than pleased to try this restaurant after a friend recommended it to me. Rosa Mexicano is located just across the street from Lincoln Center and offers the perfect dining place before an evening at the ballet or the MET opera (they also have other locations around New York). The food was absolutely delicious and I can highly recommend the three tacos and a classic quesadilla. Make sure to share these dishes with a friend so you can really explore the diversity of Mexican food. Brunch in Toronto: Maman

When I was in Toronto a few weeks ago, I had the best Saturday morning with a delicious brunch and little chat with one of the founders of the Maman Café. The story behind the two French-inspired cafés situated in New York and Toronto is five friends, each with different backgrounds in terms of fields of study, uniting and deciding to open a café as an attempt to bring some Parisian feeling into the Big Apple. All I can say is, that they definitely succeeded. As soon as I tasted their freshly made madeleines and financiers, I was transported back to the times when I entered my favorite café on Rue des Abbesses for a coffee and a petit truc sucré. We ended up talking in French and chatting about my time living in Montmatre, about what it means to run a café in such a cosmopolitan city and how different it can be from Paris. I can only highly recommend the matcha pancakes, a combination that I have never tasted like this before and was heaven for me as a green tea lover. …

Dinner in New York: Aurora

Aurora is probably one of the most romantic spots in Williamsburg. You’ll love sitting in this patio lit by typical NY light chains. But not only the atmosphere is amazing, also the food is absolutely worthwhile. The menu features Italian food, as well as daily specials. We can among others recommend the Paccheri alla Norma, wheat pasta with roasted eggplant, melted tomato, buffalo mozzarella and pine nut pesto or a refreshing Insalata con Gorgonzola with baby spinach and walnut vinaigrette. My ten favorite places in Weimar

I would never ever have thought that I would be visiting Weimar more than once or twice. But with my boyfriend studying here it has become a regular weekend get-away destination for me. And honestly – I love this little city! Therefore I’m really happy to share with you my ten favorite places around town. 1. Gelateria Giancarlo is probably the most amazing ice cream café I have ever been to. They have at least 50 different flavors every day and change them from time to time. 2. Goethes house – typical tourist destination but definitely worth a visit. Just seeing how much Goethe was collecting and studying is overwhelming. 3. The Bauhaus Museum along with the Bauhaus University is another aspect why Weimar is so famous. 4. Anno 1900 is a little restaurant located at the Goetheplatz serving delicious food – you will definitely love their menu! 5. The Anna Amalia Library should be at the top of your must-see list. The beautiful interior and the old books are just a feast for the eyes. In 2004 nearly everything was lost due to …

Sweet Treat in Weimar: Koriat

When in Weimar you certainly shouldn’t miss this delicious sweet treat heaven. Koriat is a local insiders’ tip serving delicious homemade cake with fresh and flavorful ingredients. Breakfast in Weimar: Fama Café & Bücher

During my last stay in Weimar my boyfriend and I took the chance to try this beautiful little café called Fama. It is located in the heart of the city and serves delicious breakfast as well as lunch and cake in the afternoon. Everything you see on the table was absolutely delicious and the price was more than fair. In total we paid 22.90 € – which is absolutely appropriate for what we enjoyed.
