Inspired by the matcha tradition of Japan, Chalait offers a whole variety of matcha products. The name of the café derives from Cha (tea in Japanese) and lait (milk in French). Besides the delicious coffee you can enjoy some little snacks such as fresh banana bread, cookies, avocado-egg toast and stuffed croissants. And if you feel the need to have some Chalait at home, you can buy some of their products in store and online. Soon they will open another spot at Chelsea Market. While visiting New York it was impossible to not visit this cute place. Everyone around Prince / Canal Street was running around with a cup of Cha Cha Matcha. This café offers a good range of Matcha products starting with the classic Matcha Latte but also selling Matcha banana bread, doughnuts filled with Matcha cream and Matcha lemonade. You get it: Matcha all over the place. But of course you can also enjoy normal coffee beverages. The interior is cute and the prices normal for New York conditions. But be sure to bring your Credit Card because they don’t expect cash!
