Columbia University

We spent a super nice autumn afternoon exploring Columbia University! The campus is really impressive and totally worth a visit! On a Sunday, the place is quite calm – only some bookworms studying in the library! Trenchcoat – Club Monaco Pullover – H&M Leggings – H&M Shoes – Softclox

Lunch in New York: by Chloe.

If there is one thing that is unique about New York, it’s its culinary diversity. I am pretty sure that there is nearly nothing than you cannot find in this city, no matter what cuisine and style it is. By Chloe is a place that offers a healthy alternative to fast food – I would describe it as a hybrid fast food restaurant, since you get your food at the counter but still the atmosphere/interior is nice and you can sit down to eat after you took your order. The menu is heaven for health-freaks, vegans, vegetarians and all kinds of foodies. There are super nice salads (we can recommend the Quinoa Taco Salad!), as well as vegetarian burgers and the complementary sweet potato fries, which cannot be missing either! As in every in-place in New York, you’ll have to be a little patient to find a seat, since the place is usually packed. Ordering the food on the other hand is super fast and there is good service. These Streets

New York is an incredibly exciting but can also be an exhausting city. When you work here, you’ll often find yourself rushing from appointment to another, located in different parts of this super huge city. The result: you do not only need an outfit, but moreover a companion to bring you through the day! My Softclox are this type of companion, they’ll carry me through the New York streets and help me to master my day! I love that this model (Fumiko lavaglitter) literally goes with everything and can be styled in many different ways. I already wore it to a meeting, a brunch date and a dinner with friends. The little sparkle on the heel even adds some glamour to every outfit! You can check out Softclox’s new collection here and also find you companion that will carry you through your day! The Trench

I‘ve been looking for the perfect trench coat for quite a while now… Last week, I finally fount it at Club Monaco in the Central Park West area! A trench coat is like the most essential piece a girl should own, it goes with nearly everything and is supposed to upgrade your outfit instantly. I love the classic beige color of this one and the cut, also the material is just super comfortable and does not wrinkle when worn. I could literally buy everything at Club Monaco, their style is just exactly what I imagine my wardrobe to be! Coffee in New York: Devoción

Adding to our Williamsburg guide, we would like to present another coffee (hot)spot to you – Devoción. It is situated on Grand Street, near Bedford Avenue, the nicest area of Williamsburg. The coffeeshop offers coffee roasted from Colombian beans that have been sourced responsively. Devocion develops long-lasting relationships with coffee farmers as well as programs to secure their future. Apart from their delicious and fair-trade coffee, Devocion is the perfect place to spend some time working on your laptop or chatting with a good friend. The atmosphere is calm and relaxed. Brunch in New York: House of Small Wonder

As soon as you live in New York for a while, you will realize that Brooklyn is like a whole distinct world and you don’t necessarily have to travel to Manhattan all the time if you live there. You”ll have your own micro cosmos, you favorite coffee shop, brunch place, food market and so on… Last weekend we tried the brunch/lunch/dinner cafe “House of Small Wonder” in Williamsburg. They offer the best matcha cappuccino and homemade gluten free bread and granola. Even though the place is really small, we did not wait long for a table and it is definitely one of the coziest spots we found so far! Work Outfit

During busy work days there is no room for fancy outfits but a comfortable and simple outfit will do. I like to stick to black with some statement pieces as highlights. Necklace – Sence Copenhagen Leather Jacket – Zara Belt – Mango Sunglasses – Ace&Tate

Coffee in New York: Brooklyn Roasters

Brooklyn Roasters is my favorite coffee shop in the DUMBO area. A perfect Sunday would start with a soy latte and some work for the blog on my laptop. Afterwards, a stroll through the DUMBO area and a walk from Manhattan to Brooklyn Bridge. Afterwards, one can go to Brooklyn Heights for some shopping. Coffee and more in New York: Butterfield Market

I soon found out that a perfect day in New York City most likely looks like this to me: Firstly, visit the MET and stroll through the impressionism floor (I am a huge fan of Monet, Manet, Sargent, Degas, Renoir, Van Gogh and there are so many more…) and maybe also take a look at the Costume Institute exhibition going on. Afterwards I would totally go for a coffee and frozen yogurt break at the Butterfield Market, one of my favorite food places in New York. The Butterfield Market is basically a fine food store, selling all kinds of delicacies. There is a small bakery, cheese section, fruits and fresh produce and much more! But what I love the most is the open coffee station, where one can fill in one’s own iced coffee with Hawaiian coconut flavored brew and hazelnut americano. I would also recommend to try the frozen yogurt as long as the temperatures allow it, coffee and natural with fresh mango is my favorite combination! Finally, I would go back to the Central Park for a long walk, just …
