When you need to go to work and the weather isn’t that appealing outside, choose a trench coat. It’s such an iconic and classic piece you can through over every outfit combination. It seems as if the weeks are just passing by so quickly. Since we have so much to do and work on everyday gets shorter and shorter. Time is such a valuable thing! We simply rush through the days and our timetable. We seriously need to relax this weekend a bit. Have you got your weekend planed already? The Kimono is a Japanese traditional garment. Today in Japan, it is worn for special occasions such as weddings, tea ceremonies, formal traditional events and funerals. An appropriate style and color of kimono is to be worn depending on the occasion and the person’s age and marital status. I personally have always been fascinated by Geishas. I read the book “Memoirs of a Geisha” by Arthur Golden and watched the movie, too. It is such a different world and culture that we in Europe simply can’t understand their way of living. Some years ago i brought this dressing gown at H&M but didn’t thought about wearing it outdoors. But somehow my mind changed and I’m trying challange this piece a bit more. The pop of colour gave my rather simple outfit a new touch and mixing different fabrics is also a good idea for spring/summer outfit combinations. And remember, festival season is here! At this point in time we both have our hands full with work thus here is one of my simple work outfits for you! I prefer to stick to simple colors but like to place emphasis on small details like a fresh rose pink lipstick – never too much but always a small highlight. Before we left for New York and London we finally managed to take these pictures with those lovely cherry blossoms. We probably planed this for three years but didn’t find the time and in the end they were gone so fast. Finally! At the moment we have April weather outside, daily life is nearly back to normal and we are working on the new ballet for our studio. Spending some quality time together during these stressful packing-suitcases-days and appointments is just so relaxing. Yesterday we both left town to head to two totally different destinations: London and New York! But as you see, we made sure that there are some new posts up on the blog. We took these pictures a few days ago, sadly the sunny weather left us but we still managed to take some outfit pictures. During April the weather is always going a bit crazy and a coat is still needed sometimes, so don’t put it too far away. Somehow we have chosen the right time for snapping some pictures: 20 degree and sunny all day long. When the sun comes out in Berlin, everyone is hanging around town. It was yet another perfect moment to add a lovely must-go place to our Berlin guide list (soon on the blog). With the weather becoming better the clothes become lighter and skin can be shown just a tiny little bit. A mesh sweater are just perfect for these in-between temperatures. Make sure to keep your skin healthy when you want to show it. Use some body lotion after showering but try to avoid those with a strong perfume mixture. Yet another beautiful day here in Potsdam. However we always had this idea about taking some pictures inside of a train station with the light shining through the windows. After a delicious breakfast this morning we headed out for snapping some pictures. The look still is a bit cozy since in the shadow it’s not that warm yet.
