Soft Lights in Paris

I got to meet Dean from PickledThoughts on a very early morning in the centre of Paris, near to Ile de la Cité. Dean has this incredible capability of capturing beautiful morning light, which you can definitely recognize in these shots from near the Seine. We hope you like the results and be sure to stay tuned for more common projects. Dress – H&M Pointe Shoes – Gaynor Minden

Camion Red at the Seine

When I came to Paris, I was very happy to be invited to a lovely photoshooting at the Seine with Comtesse Sofia. Their scarfs are high-quality, have very fine details and are known for their exotic patterns that surely add a touch of color to your autumn wardrobe. The model I am wearing is called “Afternoon on Carmine Street“. Scarf – Comtesse Sofia Pants – Ltd Shoes – H&M

LFW S/S 2015: Photo Diary

London Fashion Week kicked-off yesterday and I was able to snap a few pictures around Somerset House again. Already last year I was runing around the scene and now again. September is somehow my London month. Mostly I look out for beautiful bages and there are some labels I simply can’t get enough of: Celiné and Mulberry! Those two are just so beautfiul and somehow all over the place.

August Walks in Paris

Here are some impressions from a very calm and peaceful Paris. Basically, in August the whole French nation leaves for vacation thus many boutiques, restaurants and of course firms in the capital have closed doors. As well the whole Parisian fashion industry takes a break and will be back just in time for New York Fashion Week by the beginning of September, still working on their own Paris FW, which is the last one in row at the end of September. This break only works, because everybody takes it thus no one needs to worry that someone will wait for results – only this collaborative break can work out. All in all the French are just genius in pausing their daily routine and have a distinct sense for enjoying their lives. This once again proves that the saying “Germans live to work and French work to live” is somehow right.

“I dream my painting and I paint my dream.”

On Thursday I finally met Dean from PickledThoughts. A very talented and vibrant photographer based in Berlin who was looking for a dancer to take some snaps with. The little photo-session turned out to be a super great morning in Berlin. Normally I am unhappy with dancing pictures of myself but these have truly captured my heart since they show me as a person, who I really am and what my passion is. I’m faraway from being a perfect dancer, which is certainly why I love dancing so much: you will never reach the finish line. Always find something to work on, to improve. Dancing is certainly never easy and for me just half the effort is not enough. I really push myself to a limit. Normally I train 5 times a week and on the weekend do my own home workout. Told you… always on the run. Check Deans official page for some more pictures taken by him! We will be working on more fun projects together.

Jewelrymania

As you already know, we both are admirers of beautiful jewelry. Therefore, we would herewith like to introduce you to one of our favorite jewelry brands, the Scandinavian label Sence Copenhagen. Sence’s collections are designed by young and upcoming designers, what you may very well observe in their designs: they are modern, young and fashionable but nevertheless you can underline your individual style with most pieces. Even though every piece is special, it is never overwhelming or over the top but a clear and soft statement of a very personal style. Another important aspect of the collection is it’s high quality: Sence uses natural materials and semi-precious stones, which is another indicator for understated but sophisticated style of the collection. Altogether, we are very proud to announce that very soon we will introduce you to the recent Sence Copenhagen collection on Midnight Couture. Therefore, this is an advance notice for all the jewelry addicts out there- stay tuned, there is more to come!

New York Photo Diary

Ever since I watched Maid in Manhattan (girls movie), “Come Away with Me” by Norah Jones has become my personal song for New York. Sounds crazy, since I have never been there before. Of course I always dreamed of going there… someday and well planed ahead. But when my dance teacher invited my to join her on a visit to the Big Apple I was head over heels right away. Yes, the city is a little crazy but it is definitely worth a visit. Though I have to say I wouldn’t want to live there on a regular basis. It’s fun to come there, see all those amazing places and get a bit carried away by the SATC feeling. In the seven days I have seen so many different places and somehow discovered myself a bit more. Traveling so far is always a challenge since I love home. During my childhood my family and I moved quite a lot, which is why Potsdam and Berlin have become a home to me finally. But back to New York, …

Dance Christmas Calendar 2013

Already last year I did a Dance Christmas Calendar for the Dance Academy we are dancing and training with. Since it was such a great success we somehow made it to a little tradition now. So, here are now some of the pictures from our this years calendar. If you want to see the rest check Dance Academy Marita Erxleben on Facebook. Picture number 4 and 8 are taken by Johannes from JFRcreatives because I’m in the pictures myself. Thanks for that man.
