Midnight Couture goes Paris – exploring the neighborhood

Dear readers, Right now I (Jana) am continuing my studies with a semester abroad. That it why I just moved to Paris! It has long been my dream to study abroad and I chose Paris, since it is the fashion capital of this world thus I will direct my studies towards the creative industries. Hence, from now on we will keep you updated from the origin of two cities- Paris and Berlin! We always love to enhance our blog with an international perspective, therefore we will continue sharing our favorite places, fashion as well as cultural tips and we hope that you enjoy this wider point of view as much as we do.

Teamwork

Remember when we hit the roof top last month? You haven’t seen all. Of course we took the chance to snap some duo pictures as you maybe have seen on Facebook and/or Instagram. But here comes the full version of our summer roof tour.

Peach and Lace

One of the most difficult trends this season probably is the adequate styling of leather skirts and pieces. We love to see them on the runway but somehow styling them in our daily lives can be quite a challenge. Girls need to watch out that leather does not look too sexy or somehow inappropriate, it’s as simple as that. Therefore, I went for this perfectly smooth, light peach colored leather skirt from Zara, which has the perfect balance between stylish, sexy and classy. Skirt – Zara (sale!) Festival Style

A simple slip-on dress in black is always a good choice for a festival. Add some pretty silver jewellery, comfy sandals and a bright nail-polish! Et voilá – ready you are. If you want to wear make-up choose waterproof one, you simply never know what the weather will be like. Also elaborated hair styles are a waste of time.

Leather Peplum

At this point in time, we are both involved in different projects, which are exciting but very time consuming- therefore, please excuse our late posting. However, here’s a new chic summer outfit for you! Peplum cuts are rather daring, because they can easily look unfavorable but combined with classic statement pieces and fine jewelry, they can look classy but stylish! We are currently in love with the Sence Copenhagen jewelry collection – here, I am wearing a beautiful Bamboo Agate statement necklace and lovely silver bracelet. Both pieces upgrade every daily outfit immediately! I love to just combine the pieces with a simple black outfit: shirt, jeans and some flat sandals. Anything Could Happen

I know, this sounds crazy but I found this absolutely stunning dress in the Kids Collection from Zara. It fits perfectly and is so cute, simply couldn’t resist. I often have the problem that even the XS from the women collections doesn’t fit me and therefore I somehow discovered the Kids section for me. So, if you are not that tall and rather thin, try it out. Of course I wouldn’t buy everything there but a few pieces are definitely suitable for grown-ups. The little bands are actually hairbands (you will see more of them soon). Totally fallen for them. Thanks to the ladies from Mane Message for sending them to us.
