We loved to be styled by the talented people of Shan’s True Beauty situated at Kurfürstendamm. For some reason, Shan’s Beauty always manages to give my hair a lot of volume that is staying for days! Since it was still a little chilly in Berlin, I decided to wear my fur vest on top of the shirt, combined with my favorite boot cut jeans – some think it’s too 60’s but I totally love the style! I have been indecisive about the choker trend for quite a while – until I found this perfect, spring-blouse with a bright flower pattern and choker design. It instantly lifts my mood and makes me happy! I love to either wear it with some skinny jeans or as well with my favorite boot cut ones. A trench coat is always a safe bet to accompany the outfit. It’s a new season, hence time to talk about some recent trends – we chose five trends that we consider hot right now. What are your favorites and which ones don’t you like at all? Let’s talk! Bomber Jackets To be honest, they have been around for quite a while now – still, we totally love them! They’re not only transporting us back into times of the Grease movie and coca cola advertisements but are a quick way to add some cool to every outfit. Fishnet Tights Long they’ve been associated more with CanCan dancers in Parisian night clubs than high fashion – now they’re everywhere. Underneath ripped boyfriend jeans, suede skirts or mini dresses. See-through tops with flower embroidery Valentino was first, all others followed – now, black see-through tops with colorful flower embroidery have trickled down to commercial clothing companies. Plain T-shirts To be honest: not really a new trend but still omnipresent as ever – a plain white, black or striped t-shirt. We love, that it’s such a simple piece of clothing …
While taking these pictures we were once again reminded that we live in a city where rain is inevitable. So we headed to Walter-Benjamin-Platz, a square named after the philosopher Walter Benjamin. The adjoining Leibniz colonnades offer the right protection for some outfit snaps (and yes, we have taken here some pictures before. Take a look here and here). The light blue jacket is from the current Zara collection and also available in a light pink pastel shade. A friend of mine wore it and I instantly fell in love with it. So, as soon as I got home I ordered it online and got it delivered a few days later. I actually didn’t think of really buying it in the end but somehow it was just too gorgeous to send back. Do you know this feeling? The feeling when you just want to stay at home and cuddle-up in bed? And in the same thought you just know that you won’t be able to do that? We would call it the winter blues and instantly hope it ends better sooner than later. The best thing to do during these cold days? Enjoy a good coffee or a hot chocolate with a friend. It seems simple but in todays hectic world it can become a true master skill to find a date were both have time. But its so necessary to make time for such occasions since it will give you strength for everything that is coming along. Coat – Zara Boots – Tommy Hilfiger Scarf – Zara
The current political situtation has driven us to put this months inspiration under the title of „empowerment“ and „hear our voice“. The pictures of the Women’s march spread around the world and made us proud to be female. Be a woman with a voice and don’t let anyone limit the strength you have. Therefore we are not seeking to give any inspiration on what to buy this month or what to wear. This month is dedicated to all those strong women out there and all those men who support these actions. We pay tribute to their willpower and the passion they unchained.
Holiday time after holiday time… For some reason, there are always some wardrobe standards that remain the same every season. Almost every time there is a sequin dress, there will most definitely be something velvet and of course the Christmas color red should never miss! That’s why this year’s gift guide is probably more for us, but why shouldn’t we indulge a little ourselves as well! Happy Holidays! With November, it’s official: the year is coming to an end. It’s getting dark early outside, the weather changes daily and huge knit sweaters have taken over the stores. This month we want to wear wide, light-blue jeans, cozy sweaters in beige or dark blue, put some nude lipstick on, leave our hair naturally open and study some philosophical books. It’s all about casual confidence and a laid-back attitude. Stress comes with December or, if you are good in your timing, November will already be filled with shopping presents and writing Christmas cards. Who knows.. The lust list for this month
Halloween is just around the corner and we figured it’s time to do some shopping! Therefore we have searched through the online stores and put together a little must-have list for you. However, don’t wait too long or the best pieces will be sold out already. The Halloween Shopping Guide
Yesterday we had the chance to visit the Urban Outfitters press day showroom and take an exclusive look at the Spring/Summer 2017 collection. You will see a lot of denim and pastels, thats for sure. Besides seeing that up-coming collection we were also able to flick through their Christmas collection which will be available from November on. Sequined and fake fur are the staples for your festive season wardrobe.
