Ernährung Pt. I – Ein Anfang

Breakfast in Potsdam: Zweitwohnsitz

A few friends of mine already recommended this place to me and I was really happy to finally try it last Friday. Zweitwohnsitz (meaning like second home) is a small café located in Potsdam West. The interior is really charming and you feel home instantly. We headed there for breakfast but they also serve various lunch options, filled Pita breads and delicious looking cake (need to come back and try a slice). On a paper you can find various breakfast pieces and a free space to fill in a number of the amount you want. It offers you the chance to put together your own breakfast they way you want it to be. I absolutely loved the coffee because it was a good ground coffee, rich in smell and flavor. Besides normal milk they also offer soy, lactose-free and oat milk (my new favorite milk for coffee). I certainly need to come back since many people recommended me to go there on a Saturday for their brunch buffet. You see, still so many options to …

Homemade Bircher Müsli

It has become somewhat of a routine for me – lately, I always prepare my breakfast in advance in order to safe time in the morning. For that reason, I love to prepare bircher muesli, because it is easy, delicious and healthy at the same time! I always prepare a big bowl that lasts a whole week in the fridge and top it with fresh berries to get some extra freshness. To be honest, I normally mix the bircher muesli by feel and put in what I like at the time. Here’s a rough recipe: two parts spelt oats (I always take the fine ones, so it gets really creamy!) cranberries raisins dried apricots shredded coconut one fresh apple (cut in tiny pieces) a dash of cinnamon soy milk I mix all the dry ingredients and stir them until mixed through. Then I fill it up with soy milk so that everything is covered. Leave in the fridge over night and enjoy every day!

Breakfast in Berlin: The Klub Kitchen

Some days ago we went to The Klub Kitchen to try out their granola, which is supposed to be very good. Unfortunately, even at 11 am there was no granola available because it was still in the making… However, we then opted for an avocado rye bread toast with A LOT of salad. It was nice but maybe a little sour. Nevertheless, The Klub Kitchen is a nice hang-out if you are searching for a quick coffee and minimalistic design. Indulge House Fashion Week Special

We’ve always been fans of all the blogger events that take place during Berlin Fashion Week and are not designer’s shows but rather crafted especially for bloggers. Last Wednesday we had the pleasure to attend the Indulge House Fashion Week Special at AMANO rooftop. It was a relaxing morning, with a Pilates session by Isabelle, who is a former ballerina and personal Pilates teacher from Berlin. Afterwards we enjoyed some food by superfoods & organic liquids Berlin and also various lovely brands, like Eins Berlin crafted jewellery and Nuori skincare products. Thank you for this event! Healthy in Berlin: Superfoods & Organic Liquids

It is no secret that healthy food is big in Berlin. If you walk down Weinbergsweg in Mitte, you’ll find one organic food store after the other. Superfoods & Organic Liquids is one of them. The store is small but has a stylish interior and nice menu variety for the size of the café. I really liked that there were different fruit toppings to their bircher mueslis or chia puddings, either raspberry acai or mango. I can also recommend the coffee with a huge matcha or chocolate cookie on the side!
