A classical, well suited jacket can turn any outfit into a sensation. This summer we both had fun in trying out some more daring ones in order to give our everyday looks a little twist. This red jacket by Mango (currently on SALE – be quick!) is a perfect day and night piece. With jeans and a shirt you can work it during the day, even at the office, and with a cute dress plus some fancy heels it makes the perfect match for a night out. At the end of this post we have put together a little overview with some fancy, statement jackets which you can happily add to your shopping list. Jeans – Zara (on Sale!) Jacket – Mango (on Sale!) The bomber jacket trend is still growing strong and we can’t deny that we also love these light jackets. While they only came in black or an oliv green at the beginning, you will now be able to find them in any colour and decorated with any pattern. This dark red one is the perfect day to night version. Combined with light colours during the day and a black dress during night you can easily mix and match it. Top – H&M Jacket – H&M Pants – Zara Sandals – Mango Clutch – Furla
The long Easter weekend lays ahead of us and we do hope for some better weather than the forecast gives us. We haven’t planed much and will rather try to regain some strength and relax with our families. Next week university starts again and I’m not so motivated but hope the excitement will kick in as soon as I meet my fellow students. After such a long university-free-time it can be a real pain to go back and study. The past weeks haven’t been easy and I was researching and writing two essays. I didn’t go on holiday and the next weeks will be filled with new lectures and rehearsals for our up-coming ballet. Looking still a bit tired but happy – the other day we went to Benedict for breakfast and it was awesome. We sipped on peach mimosas, had some vegan cashew yoghurt with granola, of course the most delicious pancakes and some bread with spreads. Afterwards, we tried to snap some outfit pictures for you despite the heavy rain. Today the sun is shining again and we wish you a super great start into the weekend! Its still cold outside in Berlin so there is no other option than to cuddle-up and work on your layering skills. Taking these pictures took us maybe five minutes but the street corner was so freezing because of the wind breaking. We were so happy it didn’t take us long. The new week is again filled with quite a few appointments and university (yeah – but its the last week!). Time to make some coffee dates with friends and catch-up on the past couple of weeks. Do you know this feeling? The feeling when you just want to stay at home and cuddle-up in bed? And in the same thought you just know that you won’t be able to do that? We would call it the winter blues and instantly hope it ends better sooner than later. The best thing to do during these cold days? Enjoy a good coffee or a hot chocolate with a friend. It seems simple but in todays hectic world it can become a true master skill to find a date were both have time. But its so necessary to make time for such occasions since it will give you strength for everything that is coming along. Coat – Zara Boots – Tommy Hilfiger Scarf – Zara
Its been a while since we shared a post with you but we have been extremely busy lately and figured we only would like to come back posting, when we have more content to share with you. The past weeks I have been running between university lectures and dance training. Last October I started my M.A. study program (dance science) at the Freie Universität Berlin. After finishing my B.A. in art history and history I figured it was time to pick-up a field I dream of working in. Studying art history and history was good and I still consider working in this section but I’m really looking forward to expand my horizon in the dance science area. During the next weeks we will share more personal information with you, show you new places, offer some recipes and shopping details. These pictures were taken at the Hamburger Bahnhof, a museum offering a range of contemporary art. The collection permanently displayed is not my favorite (except the works of Warhol and Lichtenstein) one but the building itself …
Beyonce’s formation video, Vogue shoots, black lace is everywhere right now. And we can say: we love it. The challenge is somehow to find the right mixture between lingerie and street wear, not overdoing it. The clue is mostly to mix black lace with cool accessories, like biker boots and leather bags. Or in summer a black lace bustier even goes with a ripped jeans shorts, creating a festival look.
We try to at least once a weak meet for coffee, blog talk and snapping some pictures. Because we both work full time and study as well, sometimes it is hard to find time. But somehow, we always manage! We love that Berlin has so many quiet and nice streets, that are also green with flowers. It just very much feels like home.
Yesterday, we met to discuss some last details about the new blog and snap some pictures on the way. We were both super happy and in a spring mood, since the weather was finally summer and temperatures were rising. We are more than interested in what you think of our new page – share your thoughts in a comment or feel free to send us an email!
