Indian Summer

This is probably my favorite new dress I can wear from day to night just by changing my footwear. I got it at Zara a few days before I flew to New York, not expecting to be able to wear it as often as I already did. But yeah, here we are: beautiful weather in New York City. Super happy about that! Dress – Zara (new collection) Leather jacket – Stefanel Sandals – H&M

My ten favorite places in Weimar

I would never ever have thought that I would be visiting Weimar more than once or twice. But with my boyfriend studying here it has become a regular weekend get-away destination for me. And honestly – I love this little city! Therefore I’m really happy to share with you my ten favorite places around town. 1. Gelateria Giancarlo is probably the most amazing ice cream café I have ever been to. They have at least 50 different flavors every day and change them from time to time. 2. Goethes house – typical tourist destination but definitely worth a visit. Just seeing how much Goethe was collecting and studying is overwhelming. 3. The Bauhaus Museum along with the Bauhaus University is another aspect why Weimar is so famous. 4. Anno 1900 is a little restaurant located at the Goetheplatz serving delicious food – you will definitely love their menu! 5. The Anna Amalia Library should be at the top of your must-see list. The beautiful interior and the old books are just a feast for the eyes. In 2004 nearly everything was lost due to …

New York Mood

Time is running like crazy and soon we both will be located in New York. Jana arrived safely in the Big Apple and enjoys some free time before her intership kicks-off. I’m still in Berlin training and working before I will join Jana at the beginning of September. This will be a huge opportunity for both of us and we already got so many great things on our list. I got this black leather bag the other day and absolutely love it. It’s from the label Irene Van Ryb, never heard of it before but fallen for it straight away. You won’t believe how hard it is to find a good, not too over priced black leather bag. Was looking for so long, this will join me on my journey to New York… as well as the jacket, of course. Staying in Weimar: Design Apartments Weimar

When thinking of Weimar you instantly think of Goethe and Schiller, theatre and Bauhaus. It’s this typical city nearly every school class visits and where you find a lot of sightseers. But besides all these cultural highlights, Weimar simply is a perfect little weekend get-away. And therefore you of course need a cool place to stay. Of course you can choose on of those many hotels there but when you are looking for something more personal this is the right place for you. Design Apartments Weimar are two holiday apartments you can rent during your stay in Weimar. The owners offer a big and a smaller flat furnished with interior design pieces from former Bauhaus University graduates who get the chance to present their pieces to the general public. Besides this you will be able to find design classics such as the Eames Plastic Side Chair. But more important is, that you can buy the design pieces straight away. When staying in the apartment you somehow are in a showroom where you can find pieces for your own flat. The owners of the apartments offer …

Culture in Potsdam/Berlin: Frauensache

A few weeks ago I had the great chance to visit Schloss Sanssouci (a local sightseeing highlight) on aMonday, a day when the doors normally stay closed for the public. From the 22nd of August until the 22nd of November the Stiftung Preußischer Schlösser und Gärten will be hosting the exhibition “Women’s Business. How Brandeburg became Prussia“. In this the Hohenzollern women are the center of attention, how they shaped the country, what goals they had and how ambitious they were. The main exhibition will be held at Schloss Charlottenburg in Berlin, in other castles such as Sanssouci, the visitors will find little information boxes for this purpose. Outdoor in Berlin: Haubentaucher

When it’s summer time in Berlin, it comes down to a limited amount of places to hang out and enjoy the warm weather. The current hype is with this location called “Haubentaucher” situated near Warschauer Straße. The area is stylish and clean, has a big refreshing pool and several bars where one can enjoy soul food and drinks. It is the perfect location to sunbath and listen to cool electro music. At night or during the weekend local DJs will make you dance to cool tunes and the sun deck turns into a hip event location. Check out their events schedule here. Summer Wedges

Today we headed out for a little lunch at restaurant Le Faubourg at Hotel Concorde. The warm weather has reached Berlin again and we are more than happy to show you these new summer sandals by UGG Australia. The soft greyish brown shade which is worked into the ribbons reminds us of a beautiful late afternoon on the beach of Palma. The sunbeds, in which you were able to relaxe, head the same colour and offered a cozy setting on the beach. It was a calm yet absolutely memorable evening with some friends and good drinks. Have you every experienced a summer moment like this? Its certainly an unforgettable memory we don’t want to miss. And we promise, in these heels the next memories will be growing. The wedges are super light and you don’t feel like wearing tons of stones on your feet (those of you who love wedges know what we are talking about). You can easily get through a long summer night at a beach party! Wedges – UGG Australia (Jules Scallop) Leather Jacket – Costes In cooperation with UGG …

#HashMag Blogger Lounge

These days we prefer to attend blogger events during Fashion Week, since you can meet new people and chat a little and there’s always a nice relaxed atmosphere. On Tuesday we attended the #HashMag Blogger Lounge in Berlin Mitte and it was a really nice experience. We loved the idea to invite all bloggers to make their own floral wreaths. We both are always in for some handicraft work, to build something beautiful on your own always gives you a good feeling! After the event we headed to dinner at the Grace restaurant. We’ll give you an update about that night soon so stay tuned!

Breakfast in Weimar: Fama Café & Bücher

During my last stay in Weimar my boyfriend and I took the chance to try this beautiful little café called Fama. It is located in the heart of the city and serves delicious breakfast as well as lunch and cake in the afternoon. Everything you see on the table was absolutely delicious and the price was more than fair. In total we paid 22.90 € – which is absolutely appropriate for what we enjoyed. Only tiny little minus point: it took a while until everything was served but certainly waiting was for it.
