Bath Storage Tips

A girl’s bathroom sometimes means only one thing – chaos! There is just tons of different products, brushes, nail lacquers, concealers etc… That is why we love to organize our beauty equipment in order to make our bathroom look nice and neat. Here is some tips how to organize your products: 1. Put all your brushes into a pretty glass. We love some vintage glasses and flea market finds, I found a super nice one at the flea market in Paris and since then all my brushes are stored in this special glass and it even reminds me of my Paris time. 2. Everyone knows that girls have hundreds of hair ties and they tend to lie around everywhere in our apartments. Just take all of them and put them into a jar. You will always find one if you need it and they are all in one place. 3. Put your hand wash, lotion and soap onto a small decorative plate, for example by HAY (available at Bikini Berlin). It will keep your soap from floating around in a small puddle and …

Dinner in New York: Rosa Mexicano

I‘m a huge fan of Mexican cuisine and was more than pleased to try this restaurant after a friend recommended it to me. Rosa Mexicano is located just across the street from Lincoln Center and offers the perfect dining place before an evening at the ballet or the MET opera (they also have other locations around New York). The food was absolutely delicious and I can highly recommend the three tacos and a classic quesadilla. Make sure to share these dishes with a friend so you can really explore the diversity of Mexican food. Brunch in Toronto: Maman

When I was in Toronto a few weeks ago, I had the best Saturday morning with a delicious brunch and little chat with one of the founders of the Maman Café. The story behind the two French-inspired cafés situated in New York and Toronto is five friends, each with different backgrounds in terms of fields of study, uniting and deciding to open a café as an attempt to bring some Parisian feeling into the Big Apple. All I can say is, that they definitely succeeded. As soon as I tasted their freshly made madeleines and financiers, I was transported back to the times when I entered my favorite café on Rue des Abbesses for a coffee and a petit truc sucré. We ended up talking in French and chatting about my time living in Montmatre, about what it means to run a café in such a cosmopolitan city and how different it can be from Paris. I can only highly recommend the matcha pancakes, a combination that I have never tasted like this before and was heaven for me as a green tea lover. …

Columbia University

We spent a super nice autumn afternoon exploring Columbia University! The campus is really impressive and totally worth a visit! On a Sunday, the place is quite calm – only some bookworms studying in the library! Trenchcoat – Club Monaco Pullover – H&M Leggings – H&M Shoes – Softclox

Lunch in New York: by Chloe.

If there is one thing that is unique about New York, it’s its culinary diversity. I am pretty sure that there is nearly nothing than you cannot find in this city, no matter what cuisine and style it is. By Chloe is a place that offers a healthy alternative to fast food – I would describe it as a hybrid fast food restaurant, since you get your food at the counter but still the atmosphere/interior is nice and you can sit down to eat after you took your order. The menu is heaven for health-freaks, vegans, vegetarians and all kinds of foodies. There are super nice salads (we can recommend the Quinoa Taco Salad!), as well as vegetarian burgers and the complementary sweet potato fries, which cannot be missing either! As in every in-place in New York, you’ll have to be a little patient to find a seat, since the place is usually packed. Ordering the food on the other hand is super fast and there is good service. These Streets

New York is an incredibly exciting but can also be an exhausting city. When you work here, you’ll often find yourself rushing from appointment to another, located in different parts of this super huge city. The result: you do not only need an outfit, but moreover a companion to bring you through the day! My Softclox are this type of companion, they’ll carry me through the New York streets and help me to master my day! I love that this model (Fumiko lavaglitter) literally goes with everything and can be styled in many different ways. I already wore it to a meeting, a brunch date and a dinner with friends. Washington Photo Diary

Staying in New York for a little longer gave me the chance to travel to Washington D.C. for one day (first note to myself and everyone out there: one day is way too short for this city!). After reading Dan Browns “The Lost Symbol” I was just longing to visit this city. My boyfriend and I took the bus from New York straight to Washington which took about 4,5 hours – long journey but it was the cheapest fare. We reached the Union Station around 10am and wanted to drive back from here around 7pm. Luckily most time of the day we didn’t have any rain and were therefore able to walk A LOT (my legs were dying at the end of the day!). But it was absolutely worth it. The city is amazing! So much to see, so much to explore. What stunned me the most was the Lincoln Memorial, the Library of Congress and the National Art Gallery (post about this coming soon). If you ever get the chance to visit this city I can just highly recommend it to you …

A timeless classic

Who doesn’t like a classic piece in their wardrobe? Right – everyone wants to own something delicate, something that matches with everything and is worth investing in. When it comes to watches we guess everyone is a little picky because it is a piece you constantly wear, day in and day out. Therefore finding the right one can be pretty tough. Pierre Cardin offers a great range of watches where probably everyone will be able to find a great watch for an affordable price. The one you see in these pictures also comes with a little trick – you can change the wrist band. Make sure to visit their page for the full shopping fun. The Trench

I‘ve been looking for the perfect trench coat for quite a while now… Last week, I finally fount it at Club Monaco in the Central Park West area! A trench coat is like the most essential piece a girl should own, it goes with nearly everything and is supposed to upgrade your outfit instantly. I love the classic beige color of this one and the cut, also the material is just super comfortable and does not wrinkle when worn. I could literally buy everything at Club Monaco, their style is just exactly what I imagine my wardrobe to be!
