A Summer Wedding

It was a beautiful day in July, when our dear friends said “yes” forever. We were happy to share this special day with them and be part of such a dream wedding! Of course it is not easy to find a dress for such an occasion and with mine I had this seldom and wonderful “aha” moment – that was the right dress! When you experience such a moment, you feel more confident in your dress and there is an inner shine that comes from within! I was wearing this light blue lace dress by Coast that I first saw in London. Dress – Coast Shoes – Zara Bag – Vintage

Williamsburg Photo Diary

Once you are in New York longer than just a few weeks, you’ll start to discover one area at the time and eventually move to Brooklyn’s new hotspot – Williamsburg. The area is mostly young and arty, with many wall paintings and cafes to hang out, as well as some rooftops to have a chilled glass of Brooklyn lager beer. What I love most about this area is that around each corner, there is another interesting thing waiting and this district is so full of contrasts. We will keep you updated with our favorite spots in Williamsburg soon! What To Wear

Farewell Dinner

This is going to be the last post from me in Berlin for a little while now as I have been heading to New York recently for some working experience in the fashion business! I had a wonderful last night in Berlin with close friends and family at Grace Restaurant, wearing a simple black and white outfit with some rosé golden details. Book Recommendation: How to be Parisian

This book isn’t something new for the fashion crowd out there. But since it was just released in German we thought it would be great to share it once more. The book is funny from the beginning until the end. Caroline De Maigret along with three other French ladies tells all the women around the world how to be Parisian wherever you are. What key pieces you need to have in your closet and how, most important, your attitude and habits need to be. There are no long essays but great short entries and so many good quotes everyone should keep in mind from time to time. After reading this book you start to feel a little more what life is about. It’s about living, give yourself the chance to do so and don’t let too many people judge your life after all.

My ten favorite places in Weimar

I would never ever have thought that I would be visiting Weimar more than once or twice. But with my boyfriend studying here it has become a regular weekend get-away destination for me. And honestly – I love this little city! Therefore I’m really happy to share with you my ten favorite places around town. 1. Gelateria Giancarlo is probably the most amazing ice cream café I have ever been to. They have at least 50 different flavors every day and change them from time to time. 2. Goethes house – typical tourist destination but definitely worth a visit. Just seeing how much Goethe was collecting and studying is overwhelming. 3. The Bauhaus Museum along with the Bauhaus University is another aspect why Weimar is so famous. 4. Anno 1900 is a little restaurant located at the Goetheplatz serving delicious food – you will definitely love their menu! 5. The Anna Amalia Library should be at the top of your must-see list. The beautiful interior and the old books are just a feast for the eyes. In 2004 nearly everything was lost due to …

New York Mood

Time is running like crazy and soon we both will be located in New York. Jana arrived safely in the Big Apple and enjoys some free time before her intership kicks-off. I’m still in Berlin training and working before I will join Jana at the beginning of September. This will be a huge opportunity for both of us and we already got so many great things on our list. I got this black leather bag the other day and absolutely love it. It’s from the label Irene Van Ryb, never heard of it before but fallen for it straight away. You won’t believe how hard it is to find a good, not too over priced black leather bag. Was looking for so long, this will join me on my journey to New York… as well as the jacket, of course. Ten Things I learned from living in Amsterdam

A M S T E R D A M 1. It can be so easy to be friendly, nice and helpful. Just take a look at the Dutch people, they can show you how to do it. 2. When you study fashion or fashion management at any fashion school in the Netherlands, you’ll learn the importance of supporting young and upcoming designers or even design students. I have never witnessed a crowd of students so proudly wearing their study colleague’s designs. 3. The Dutch have an extraordinary taste in interior design. Since most Dutch leave their windows without any curtains, you get the chance to catch sight of their beautiful furniture and explicit homes. 4. There is no bad weather in Amsterdam. You’re just too weak or do not have the right clothes, get over it and it will make you stronger. Period. 5. There is no excuse for NOT riding you bicycle at any time. It does not matter if it rains, if there is a storm or sub zero temperatures – you have to t a k e y o …

Sweet Treat in Weimar: Koriat

When in Weimar you certainly shouldn’t miss this delicious sweet treat heaven. Koriat is a local insiders’ tip serving delicious homemade cake with fresh and flavorful ingredients. In their display you will find a classical carrot cake next to a chocolate pecan cake orn a cheese-cherry-white chocolate cake (coasting from 2.50 to 3.00 €). The range is quite big and you will have a problem to choose one in the end (extra note: it’s self-service here!) Along with a tasty slice of cake make sure to drink a good, strong coffee to compensate the sweetness. Dinner in Berlin: Dudu31

We both agree that sushi and asian food are amongst our favorite ever. That is why we were more than delighted when Dudu, having their original restaurant near Rosenthaler Platz, opened a second place in the heart of Berlin city West near Kurfürstendamm. Dudu31 is a stylish location that serves traditional vietnamese cuisine with a modern twist, including extraordinary sushi creations, delicious curries and salads.
