MC Talk with Alex Lester

I met Alex during a Brand Management course at London College of Fashion some years ago. He is a creative and most definitely a life lover. On his website The Peacock Paper you find  a carefully curated selection of his beautiful photography in travel diaries. He also works as a creative director and stylist. When you were a child, what did you dream of being? I had a few careers that I was pretty into as a child – at one stage I really wanted to be a tv presenter, another time, whilst listening to Nikki Webster (an Asustralian pop star at the time, and now a complete guilty pleasure), I declared I wanted to be a singer! What do you always take with you when you travel? I don’t want to say my iPhone, but i realised that it can get you out of almost any situation! You can take photos (essential), book accommodation, access cash, pay for things, call people, direct you places! Otherwise, I always need to travel with my camera – and couldn’t quite imagine doing so without …

Nude Colors

On a not so sunny spring weekend, we are invited to a super cute baby shower by a common friend of ours. It’s always a pleasure to be there for such occasions and to feel the love of a mommy to be! For this event I chose a nude colored outfit, simple and not too fancy. Trenchcoat – Club Monaco Top – Zara Nude Pants – Zara High heeled boots – Zara Bag – Uterque

MC Talk with Kayla Seah

Kayla Seah is the creative mastermind behind Not Your Standard, one of our favorite blogs ever. She recently moved to Toronto from Berlin, pursuing her blogger life and producing beautiful content. We love her very individual style and inspirational recipes! When you were a child, what did you dream of being? I dreamed of planning grand, over the top events for a high end cliental. What do you always take with you when you travel? Camera What is your favorite spot on earth? California What is one thing left on your bucket list? Travel to Calabria, Italy – my mom and grandparents are from there. What is your favorite indulgence? Wine & Fries. Preferably together. What is your ingredient for a happy life? Do what matters and works for you. Don’t worry about the rest of them, just focus on what you like and the rest will fall into place.

Milano Photodiary

I have visited Milan a couple of times now but recently I realized that I completely underestimated this city. I thought, there is the Duomo, the Galleria Vittorio Emannuele and that’s it, basically. However, this time I discovered that there is so much more to this city! I went to Navigli, where people sit nearby the canals, enjoy the sun, drink some Aperol Spritz and just relax. Also, the area near Wagner is very beautiful and not at all touristy. Milano has really convinced me that it has more to offer than tourist sights and I fell deeply in love with this amazing city!

Flower Bomb

Yesterday, we met to discuss some last details about the new blog and snap some pictures on the way. We were both super happy and in a spring mood, since the weather was finally summer and temperatures were rising. We are more than interested in what you think of our new page – share your thoughts in a comment or feel free to send us an email! Denim Dress

Unfortunately, it’s still f r e e z i n g in Germany – that’s why I had to combine this beautiful denim dress with a warm fur vest, my black classic coat and a blue patterned scarf. I’m already looking forward to the warm days, wearing this dress with nothing but some sandals and a leather jacket. Brunch in London: German Gymnasium

It is safe to say that London is heaven for brunch lovers. There are countless nice places offering the best food, whether it is the classic English breakfast, intercontinental, healthy, exotic or French… This time we went out for brunch with family and friends at the German Gymnasium, nearby King’s Cross station. The interior is super nice and the food as well. We can recommend the granola, even though it comes with only a tiny bit of yoghurt so you’ll probably have to order some extra yoghurt!
