Abury Design Experience x Harpers Bazaar

We are always happy to report to you about innovative projects and new approaches to the fashion world. The Abury concept is such an amazing new project that is both inspiring and beautiful.

Abury has originated a project that one the one hand supports local craftsmen communities in Morocco and Ecuador and on the other hand supports young, emerging fashion designers who seek to gain experience and prove their creative talent.

For this project Abury will send two upcoming designers to work on a two to three month basis with local craftsmen communities and produce a small collection of high-quality bags.

Their motto is “Inspire Change Through Design”. You can find all the details here. If you are a designer make sure to apply for this contest.

Lingerie Obsession

For a girl, what she is wearing underneath is as important as the outfit she is wearing.

In my opinion, every girl should have a healthy lingerie obsession, since there is nothing that makes us feel more beautiful as the right underwear. In this case, I had a weak moment at Intimissimi where I found these lovely pieces.

A day in January

Yesterday we attended a second Blogger-Breakfast with Abury together. It was fun to meet the team again and hear what is going on with their idea – huge exciting things are coming-up for them and we are super happy to be one of the first ones to know.

Along with this occasion we took the chance to snap some new outfit pictures. The weather is still pretty nasty in Berlin (crazy storm going on outside). But still at least it’s not too cold.

Breakfast in Oxford: The Grand Café

The Grand Café in Oxford is a place I can warmly recommend. We went there for breakfast and were just stunned by the beautiful, opulence interior. During the day they serve breakfast, lunch, cream teas and high teas. In the evening you will be able to enjoy some cocktails with locals and University students.

According to Samuel Pepys’ Diary (1650), The Grand Café is the site of the first coffee house in England and now an Oxford institution. In the pictures you can see the Scrambled eggs on toast (£4.95), the Grand English breakfast (£8.50) and two Lattes (each £3.25). It was all absolutely delicious!

Breakfast in Berlin: Barcomi’s

Cynthia Barcomi was born in Seattle and moved to Berlin in 1985 after she finished her studies at the Columbia University in New York City. She opened her first coffee roasters and bakery in 1994, the second one followed in 1997. This time she decided to open a Deli in Berlin-Mitte serving fresh cakes, cookies, bagels and delicious coffee.

Before Christmas my Mum and I had breakfast at this place and really loved it. I ate Barcomi’s Granola (€ 4,50) while my Mum enjoyed a NY special bagel with smoked salmon and onions (€ 6,70). For drinks we had Chai Tea (€ 3,60) and a fresh ginger tea with honey (€ 3,20). Not that cheap but worth the price.

If you want to go to this place be early or make a reservation beforehand – just to be on the save side.

Drinks in Paris: Milord

Milord is a small and rustic but very cozy bar in the Montmartre area. It serves delicious draft Pelforth beer and also nice cocktails – especially during Happy Hour there is probably no place in Paris that sells more good value drinks!

Brunch in Paris: Buvette

Buvette is my favorite place in whole Paris to have a traditional and nice brunch with some good friends or family.

The place is cozy and traditional and offers high quality breakfast dishes that will satisfy brunch-lovers from all around the world with typical French dishes and international delicacies.

I personally can highly recommend the “Granola with fresh red fruits” and “Brouilles Jambon”, which is just pure deliciousness on a plate!
