Our lovely Fiona proved once more: a camel coat is such a statement piece. But finding one is really hard. For me personally Sandro has become an absolut favorite fashion label of mine. Some weeks ago I visited their store in Mitte and they had this really perfect camel coloured coat. I would even have paid the price but they didn’t have my size. And now I’m keeping my eyes open for one again.
When you start thinking of a canteen, what comes to your mind? Dark big halls, unhealthy food and a lot of noise? Certainly most of us remember the school or university canteen. However nowadays you can see that more people start to think about what they eat, certainly from a positive point of view. When one hears that more than 80% of health problems comes through wrong nutrition it definitely is time to rethink. But back to the subject. Having lunch in Berlin is in our opinion not that hard anymore. Many places have opened over the past years and this one is worth a try. Die Kantine (The Canteen) is a place for lunch in Berlin Mitte. The building was designed by David Chipperfield, a well-known architect, and is an addition to their architectural office in Berlin.
The exposed concrete and the huge sliding windows give the whole atmosphere an own expression and fit into the minimal design and architecture practiced by Chipperfield. If you come along for Lunch you maybe should reserve a table. They are open from 8.30am until 8pm, Lunch is served between 12 and 15 pm. They cook fresh dishes every day and the menu is kept rather short. You will find one our two soups, some salads and three main courses all ranging from 4 to 11 Euros, appropriate for a good lunch. The kitchen is open and in the morning you can watch the chefs cooking the lunch courses. The coffee is good but a bit too small (Whisky glass size) and with that a bit too expensive (latte €3,50) – there are some better places for that. All in all it is a stunning location, quite hidden in a backyard but worth a visit. When you come along the street you will see the building straight-away and don’t hesitate to step through the big entrance gate.

Spending some quality time together during these stressful packing-suitcases-days and appointments is just so relaxing. Yesterday we both left town to head to two totally different destinations: London and New York! But as you see, we made sure that there are some new posts up on the blog. We took these pictures a few days ago, sadly the sunny weather left us but we still managed to take some outfit pictures.
During April the weather is always going a bit crazy and a coat is still needed sometimes, so don’t put it too far away. A good idea is to head out to some stores in town and search through the Sale piece, some times you are lucky to find a left-over from last season.

A coffee break is just one of those things we really need on a long day or in-between a shopping trip. Energy comes back to the body and you can recover. There are many beautiful cafés in Berlin and you somehow get the feeling that Berlin is a coffee-city.
If you are hanging around Hackescher Markt this café place is just the right one. Kaffeemitte is always filled with people and you can feel that this really is a typical Berlin Szene café. But nevertheless it’s worth a visit. They serve some delicious cakes (€ 2 – 4) and if you are rather looking for something hearty you can chose between some Paninis (€ 6 – 7,50) and other daily dishes (Salads and Pasta). Breakfast is also available. A Latté Macchiacto costs € 3,10 and is enough to satisfy your appetite. When the weather is good you can sit outside and watch tourists and Berliners go by.

Nice is definitely one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. Despite it’s rather small size this city has much to offer when it comes to the experience of real, authentic, french savior-vivre! Nice is drawn through with narrow alleyways, guiding from the old city centre to the stony beach with azure blue water and back to the new city with lots of lovely shops and cafés. This french treasure is one big boulevard, which welcomes those who love to stroll pleasurably, live life to the fullest and appraise its beautiful things.
Somehow we have chosen the right time for snapping some pictures: 20 degree and sunny all day long. When the sun comes out in Berlin, everyone is hanging around town. It was yet another perfect moment to add a lovely must-go place to our Berlin guide list (soon on the blog).
With the weather becoming better the clothes become lighter and skin can be shown just a tiny little bit. A mesh sweater are just perfect for these in-between temperatures. Make sure to keep your skin healthy when you want to show it. Use some body lotion after showering but try to avoid those with a strong perfume mixture.

Papaya is a Thai restaurant located on the Kantstraße in the district Charlottenburg. From the outside one would probably not choose this place, there are others which look more appealing. However it is definitely worth a try. First you should order a lime juice with some crushed ice, super refreshing and costs only € 2,40. Then you really need some time to figure out what to eat, the menu offers many different dishes. I went for wheat noodles with green curry and chicken costing € 6,90. If you want to eat spicy, here is the place for you. Around lunch time (1pm) the restaurant became pretty full, so come a bit before or after one.

Since this project isn’t official yet, we can only show you some pictures of the event were invited to. It was a lovely evening with some other bloggers, delicious food and an interesting presentation. The goody bag we received afterwards was a true delight. Filled with Liebeskind Berlin, MAC cosmetic and Thomas Sabo products. Thanks for the invite once more!
I know, this sounds crazy but I found this absolutely stunning dress in the Kids Collection from Zara. It fits perfectly and is so cute, simply couldn’t resist. I often have the problem that even the XS from the women collections doesn’t fit me and therefore I somehow discovered the Kids section for me. So, if you are not that tall and rather thin, try it out. Of course I wouldn’t buy everything there but a few pieces are definitely suitable for grown-ups.
The little bands are actually hairbands (you will see more of them soon). Totally fallen for them. Thanks to the ladies from Mane Message for sending them to us.
