Food in Copenhagen: Torvehallerne

When in Kopenhagen you should definitely visit the Torvehallerne, a high end food market that offers many different food stands of either already prepared food or luxurious groceries. There is a small patio between the two market halls, that also hosts food and drinking stands as well as a small farmer’s market and colorful flower stands. Breakfast in London: Briki

Briki is a Greek breakfast café and deli situated in the east of London. They offer a delicious granola with greek yoghurt, fruits and honey, as well as some baked goods and coffee. Besides their breakfast card they offer a nice lunch menu, also for take-away (the price is a little lower then). It is a cozy and simple spot for a quick breakfast or a coffee in the morning. You really must try their award winning coffee which is roasted from high-quality green coffee beans. Acai-Bowl

One of our obsessions since New York are Acai bowls. After we tried the Acai bowl at TwoHands we were more than willing to try it ourselves and share it with you. Here is what you need: one frozen banana, 100g frozen raspberries, 75ml almond milk (you can also go for soy or coconut milk) and one tablespoon Acai powder, fresh berries (blueberries, raspberries, strawberries – it’s up to you), granola, chia seeds, pumpkin seeds and nuts. How to make: Freeze a banana (cut into pieces) one night in advance. Add the banana, frozen raspberries, almond milk and Acai powder to a mixer and blend. Serve in a bowl. Garnish with the remaining ingredients. Shop some bowls

Brunch in London: German Gymnasium

It is safe to say that London is heaven for brunch lovers. There are countless nice places offering the best food, whether it is the classic English breakfast, intercontinental, healthy, exotic or French… This time we went out for brunch with family and friends at the German Gymnasium, nearby King’s Cross station. The interior is super nice and the food as well. We can recommend the granola, even though it comes with only a tiny bit of yoghurt so you’ll probably have to order some extra yoghurt! Breakfast in Amsterdam: Bagels ‘n’ Beans

Even though Bagels ‘n’ Beans is a chain, having their cafés all over the Netherlands, I really like the place for having a small snack and a coffee. You can select from a wide variety of bagels as well as healthy breakfast dishes, smoothies and juices, that are all freshly made and very tasty. Brunch in Amsterdam: CT Coffee and Coconuts

The building was a former cinema, build in the roaring twenties and you may see it – the place has a crazy interior of different levels and big black white photographs on the walls refer to movie stars and personalities with a cult status. CT Coffee&Coconuts is one of the best brunch places in Amsterdam. Apart from its cool interior that has something exotic the café serves delicious coffee and homemade tasty food. We can only highly recommend the full CT breakfast, which is a selection of all available breakfast specialities. You’ll get coconut pancake, a small granola, bread with avocado and eggs and mature dutch cheese. You’ll love it, we promise! Coffee in Berlin: Café Neundrei

A couple of days ago I attended the opening of the Café Neundrei a place where you will find delicious coffee and vegan treats. Also, next to the normal coffee treats, you will be able to find Matcha Latte (€ 3.80), Chai Latte (€ 3.20) and some Superfood Smoothies (€ 4.50). Superfoods

Nowadays, healthy food has become a trend. You are overwhelmed by the media with buzzwords like “detox”, “superfood”, “gluten free” or “vegan”. However, what does this even mean? And how to find the right balance in your life when it comes to food? Because, in my opinion, it’s all about balance. You’ll never be happy in life without a little treat sometimes and without a cheat day during your week. Sticking to a strict diet plan is not only unhealthy, it can also lead to serious eating disorders. With this post, we do not want to tell you what is right or wrong in eating – we are surely no experts in the field. We just informed ourselves a little about those so-called superfoods and wanted to share the knowledge with you. So, what is superfood? Superfood first of all is a marketing term, created to promote healthy food. However, there is something true about the term: superfood basically describes food that contains much nutrition thus is supposed to be good for your body. Nevertheless, eating as …
