Williamsburg Photo Diary

Once you are in New York longer than just a few weeks, you’ll start to discover one area at the time and eventually move to Brooklyn’s new hotspot – Williamsburg. The area is mostly young and arty, with many wall paintings and cafes to hang out, as well as some rooftops to have a chilled glass of Brooklyn lager beer. What I love most about this area is that around each corner, there is another interesting thing waiting and this district is so full of contrasts. We will keep you updated with our favorite spots in Williamsburg soon! What To Wear

New York Photo Diary

Ever since I watched Maid in Manhattan (girls movie), “Come Away with Me” by Norah Jones has become my personal song for New York. Sounds crazy, since I have never been there before. Of course I always dreamed of going there… someday and well planed ahead. But when my dance teacher invited my to join her on a visit to the Big Apple I was head over heels right away. Yes, the city is a little crazy but it is definitely worth a visit. Though I have to say I wouldn’t want to live there on a regular basis. It’s fun to come there, see all those amazing places and get a bit carried away by the SATC feeling. In the seven days I have seen so many different places and somehow discovered myself a bit more. Traveling so far is always a challenge since I love home. During my childhood my family and I moved quite a lot, which is why Potsdam and Berlin have become a home to me finally. But back to New York, …

Outdoor in New York: Central Park I

The Central Park seems to be the air that people in New York are breathing, it belongs to this city. It is an oasis, an adventure and without a doubt the most exciting and diverse park which I have ever visited. Especially in summer one recognizes the meaning this park has for the habitants of New York. Whether it is a place to spend one’s lunch break, or to sunbath, to play, to laugh, to stroll, to relax.

Outdoor in New York: Soho

Soho is one of New York’s hippest districts. The streets are full of art, inspiration and creativity. Along Prince Street one can find a wide range of designer clothing as well as brands like American Eagle Outfitters or Victorias Secret Pink. We made a stop at Dean and Deluca for a second breakfast and we can really recommend the iced lemon pound cake and the marble cake with a latte.

Outdoor in New York: High Line

To experience the High Line in winter and do the same thing in summer is literally as different as day and night. In summer, there is a stream of ice cold water in which one can bath one’s feet. There is ice cream all over the place. There are relaxed people, enjoying the sun on one of the numerous loungers. Shortly – it is an oasis in the city, a place like a short break.  New York never ceases to amaze me with all its innovations and novelties.  Shirt  –  Hollister Necklace  –  Tiffany and co.

Outdoor in New York: Madison Avenue

Walking down Madison Avenue and ending up in Central Park. Madison Avenue is the perfect counterpart to 5th Avenue- it is far calmer and there are more interesting shops between the big brands, in my opinion.  My Outfit Belt  –  Liebeskind Pants  –  Selfmade Bag  –  from a Souk in Marokko Lissys Outfit Shirt  – Zara Pants  –  H&M Necklace  – Swarovski

The New York Diaries

Somehow, one associates a large city with bad weather all the time – New York showed me that this is a failure. New York City in the summer is a truly wonderful experience. The city is full of different oases which the New Yorker built up for themselves – I will show you some more of them in time – let’s start with some city impressions first.
