BFW S/S 2014: Photo Diary

Yesterday was our first really day at Fashion Week here in Berlin. We attended the show of holyGhost at the Brandenburger Tor. It was a nice collection with sequin and silk pieces. The colourful dresses were a bit too much though. Afterwards we enjoyed a Frozen Yogurt (again, we know. But it’s too good) and headed home to study for our exams again. Today we will be out again for the GLAW Fashion Show. We are looking forward to that one. But before that we will enjoy lunch together.

Leather Jacket Love

We really love leather jackets and in this post we tried to capture the beauty of our own favorite one. They are just the perfect throw-on-piece when you want to go out and need something cool to toughen-up your combination. However we know that finding the right one isn’t that easy. Only chose one that fits you really well; oversize is not that chic for a leather jacket in our opinion. And, you can never go wrong with black, still the very classic style for a leather jacket. After snapping these pictures we enjoyed a delicious Frozen Yogurt at Wonderpots. Still the best place to eat this little sin. Remember our little trip to the Hotel de Rome? How about buying the Tagesspiegel today? Check out page 12 or read online here. We will be at Berlin Fashion Week tomorrow and on Friday, hope to see some of you there! A drink on the terrace

These pictures are connected to the post before this one. We had a special meeting on the rooftop of Hotel De Rome in Mitte (btw. Sandra Bullock was in that Hotel for a press conference at the same time, didn’t see here though). It was super hot that day and the cold drinks on the terrace came just in time. We hope you are all having a lovely Weekend!

Leather On White

Yesterday, we spent our afternoon in Berlin since we had a very special appointment. You will find out more about that, in two weeks time. Meanwhile, we experience the hottest day of the year in Berlin, time for ice-cream, sun-bathing and summer happiness! The Interview Look – What you should keep in mind! – Do wear something you feel comfortable in. Otherwise the person opposite you will see that right away – Don’t overload your face with make-up. Just give it a little touch for brightness – Always think about the location you are attending and what kind-off interview it is (get a little review about the newspaper or magazine or TV channel) – Add a little colour. Too much will distract the interviewer or the person you want to interview – Less is more (yes, we know, classic golden rule but still too many people don’t keep this in mind) White Dress – Zara Leather Jacket – Zara Statement necklace – Mango Heeled sandals – H&M Sunglasses – RayBan

First days of May

A weekend after my taste. Sunshine all over the place, having a great cup of coffee,  long hours of breakfast, meeting some friends (Sassi in the picture), going to the theatre,  work-out and enjoy some superb food.  Nothing more to add.

Those grey days

Coat – Zara Shirt – New Look Belt – Stefanel Boots – Zara In my opinion we have had enough bad-weather-days and the spring could  finally arrive.  Sometimes you were already able to feel the warmth but then the next  day rain and clouds again. The best thing you can do on such days is to have a coffee with your sweetheart and cuddle up in a cute restaurant or café.

Winter won’t go

♫ Nat King Cole & Natalie Cole – Unforgettable ♫  Coat – Boss Orange (bought via Zalando) Bag – Longchamp Cap – H&M Hard to believe that on Wednesday it’s the beginning of spring when you see all the snow  outside and the wind is blowing against the windows. No, not the best way to start spring,  the season of pastel shades, flowers and beautiful scents.   Better you cuddle yourself into a warm coat like Jana did the other day. Wear some lined  shoes and a cozy cap in order to keep warm.  We know, it’s never easy to look good in winter when you also want to look  warm but here is a idea how you could to it. You could also put on some lipstick in  a bright colour. It will give you and the people around a bit of spring-feeling and your  lips will be protected against the cold.

Culture in Berlin: Hamburger Bahnhof

Yesterday we headed towards the Hamburger Bahnhof, a museum for contemporary art, displaying pieces by artists such as Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, Joseph Beuys and many others. We really enjoyed some of the works while others were rather questionable. At some point it’s hard to like modern art even when you try to get a grip of the artists mind. It really depends on the way how it captures once minds. The outfit Jana is wearing is a day to night combination. For the day just throw a fluffy cardigan over a super skinny dress, add some bling with a glittery necklace and chose some mid heeled booties. For night leave the cardigan in the car and go for some killer heels. Put on some metallic eyeshadow and your ready for a night out. Dress – H&M Cardigan – Zalando Collection Necklace – NoaNoa

Sweet Treat in Berlin: Princess Cheesecake

Do you know this feeling when you walk past a little café, shop or restaurant every once in a  while and think “I really have to go there” ?! We do felt this way about this little charming  café in Berlin Mitte. Princess Cheesecake has a fine selection of cakes, mainly cheesecakes of  course, a great range of tea and lovely coffee. The right place to be if you are willing to pay a bit  more for something that is really good. We tried the New York cheesecake and the Apple Cake,  both a true sensation. We really love the classical music which plays along on their main webpage. Princess Cheesecake Tucholskystraße 37  10117 Berlin Mitte on the map
