For the locals this place isn’t a big surprise but we still want to share it with all of you. My Keng is mainly know as a sushi bar in the heart of Potsdam serving also many other delicious dishes. All food they serve are absolutely delicious and super fresh. The open kitchen offers a direct insight and you can observe how your dish is prepared. The price range is average for good sushis. Avocado Makis cost 4.50 € and Anago Makis (salt water eel) cost 5.00 € – see these two in the pictures above. As a drink we highly recommend their Chanh Da a lime, mint and brown sugar mixture – super refreshing (coasting 3.80 €). Macaron Love

In honor of last month, the month of love (Valentine’s Day – it’s your fault!), we are once more sharing some #foodporn addiction. Hello, Macarons! Three facts why we just can’t get enough of these little cuties 1. They taste super delicious and can come in so many flavors. From Cassie Violette over to Pistache and Café – you won’t be disappointed! 2. They look way to good on pictures! Those colors are just flawless and make you happy each and every time. Fun and flirty. 3. You instantly get this Parisian feeling. When the daily routine is a little to much it’s time to take a little vacation and somehow Macarons are the perfect little get-away. Dance Christmas Calendar 2014

This year the traditional Dance Christmas Calendar is a little different. We decided to share pictures which we snapped over the whole year and combine these with current pictures. Which is why you will find stage snaps and training sessions, indoor work and outdoor fun. Find the whole calendar on Ballettstudio Marita Erxleben.

The Casual Christmas Jacket

I really love dressing elegantly when the right occasion comes along but most of the time you will find me in comfy sweaters, black skinny jeans and my heavy Ash boots or ballet clothes, of course. Which is why I have fallen for this sporty yet a little glamours jacket. And you even feel a little Christmas-is-coming-like. Which honestly hasn’t reached me till now! Jacket – Mavi Pants – Mavi

Time For Tea And Cookies

In November Jana had the chance to visit us here in Potsdam and of course we took the chance to snap some outfit pictures for you. It was still pretty “warm” for the month November. So, a warm, big cardigan was really enough to wear outside. Combine it with a autumn colored blouse and some heavy boots. Now since it becomes colder outside make sure to grab a beautiful coat and some nice gloves. Blouse – Mavi Pants – Mavi Cardigan – Zara Boots – Zara

Lunch in Potsdam: Backstoltz

Ok, so here comes my absolut favorite place in Potsdam for lunch AND a sweet treat (but that will be worth another post). First I would like to introduce to you Backstoltz as a spot for lunch. They have a daily changing card with a variation of dishes. You will always find different quiche’s and soups (around € 4,00) on their menu, too. The prices are really good and adequate. Main courses can cost from 7 to 15 euros, depending on what they offer. A quiche with a salad costs € 5,50 and is really enough for lunch. For € 1,20 you can add a big salad to the dish. On that day I enjoyed a goats cheese with fresh fruits, salad and baguette for € 8,90 – a true sensation! They also serve a delicious breakfast until 12pm. Sweat Treat in Potsdam: Fräulein Jakobine

Finally there is a place in Potsdam where you can buy some Macarons! A friend of mine got married last week and I was looking for some macarons which would complete my gift for the bridal couple. And tadaa I found THE place. Besides that Fräulein Jakobine (owned by lovely Anne Gersitz) is a little café where you can also enjoy some coffee, different cakes, muffins and weekly changing lunch dishes. A macaron costs € 1,40 and they serve many different, always changing flavors. You can sit inside or outside when the weather allows it. Coffee to go is also available. The price list for the drinks you find in these pictures. I didn’t find the time to enjoy a warm coffee there but was able to try the cold brew coffee quick which I really liked. Nice on a warm day! Fräulein Jakobine Am Bassin 11 14467 Potsdam open Tuesday – Sunday / 11am – 6pm
