Sweet Treat in New York: Alice`s Tea Cup

Living in England made me fall for one thing over and over again: scones with jam and clotted cream! It just happens to be a secret addiction and when ever I see a chance to eat this delight somewhere I’ll go for it. However it’s not so easy to find s spot where they serve them right but Alice’s Tea Cup certainly knows how to please me. I already visited this place last year during my New York visit and had to come again this year. Sweet Treat in Berlin: Der Cupcakeladen

During the extend 1st of May weekend I took the chance with a friend to try a cupcake store in Berlin called Der Cupcakeladen. I already heard from the place and was curious on trying it. A small place with a cute, girly interior is the location you will step into. Their product range is changing daily and you will be able to choose from typical cupcakes and even vegan ones. The taste of the cupcakes was fine but in my opinion not outstanding. A big one costs 2.70 € and a Mini one 1.50 € – a fair price range. Sweat Treat in Potsdam: Fräulein Jakobine

Finally there is a place in Potsdam where you can buy some Macarons! A friend of mine got married last week and I was looking for some macarons which would complete my gift for the bridal couple. And tadaa I found THE place. Besides that Fräulein Jakobine (owned by lovely Anne Gersitz) is a little café where you can also enjoy some coffee, different cakes, muffins and weekly changing lunch dishes. A macaron costs € 1,40 and they serve many different, always changing flavors. You can sit inside or outside when the weather allows it. Coffee to go is also available. The price list for the drinks you find in these pictures. I didn’t find the time to enjoy a warm coffee there but was able to try the cold brew coffee quick which I really liked. Nice on a warm day! Sweet Treat in Potsdam: Lekker Snoepjes

Of course Berlin provides us with so many lovely places and sights we could report about  but why not look at the things we have in our surrounding? Potsdam is not only a very historical city,  it also has it’s small insider tip’s which we would like to share with you a bit more.  We are both not born here but since our school was right in the city-center we got around  quite a lot. And just on the other side of the street (sometimes things are really close!) we had from time to time the pleasure to enjoy a splendid cup of hot chocolate and and some superb  pralines or a delicious piece of home-made cake.  The place, a little café and praline heaven, is called Lekker Snoepjes and was founded by Tanja Hoffmann and Franziska Tölcke in 2008.  Both studied in different cities and different subjects yet somehow faith brought them together. They love sweet things and above all pralines. First they sold their creations on a market before opening a café.  In their …
