February’s Favorites

It’s time for another update on our three favorite beauty products of February. Detox Mask Tonerde Absolue by L’oréal The new detox masks by L’oréal have been advertised largely. Nevertheless, I have to say that they convinced me. I try to use the mask once a week (on Sundays there is always some beauty time!) and I can feel an effect. My skin feels clearer and more balanced. Perfect Match Highlighter by L’oréal  When I was on a girl’s weekend in Palma de Mallorca this year, a friend of mine introduced me to the perks of highlighter. I’m not that much of a make-up girl in terms of concealer, foundation or rouge (I always try to let my skin breathe as much as possible!) but I couldn’t argue that a little sparkle on the cheek bone adds to a more fresh and beautiful face, instantly. Lacoste pour Elle Magnetique Eau de Parfum  I’ve been in love with the Lacoste scents since we’ve been to the Lacoste perfume event in Frankfurt two years ago. For some …

January’s Favorites

The first month of the year is coming to an end and we are happy to share some of our favorite beauty / accessories additions with you. Half-moon necklace from H&M I bought this little cute necklace last week since it perfectly matches my kind-off jewelry obsession. It’s delicate, a little sparkly and offers a nice highlight to any casual outfit combination. Real Techniques makeup brushes These brushes make the application of makeup fun and easy. The brush itself is soft and the brand offers a good variety of products. Great quality for a great price. They are not as expensive as the Zoeva brushes but just as good. Maybelline Super Stay 7 Days nail polish Super easy to apply and a nice shade (Rose Veil nr. 882) for the season. I have not tried if they really stay for 7 days but it worked for three.

Gift Guide

Holiday time after holiday time… For some reason, there are always some wardrobe standards that remain the same every season. Almost every time there is a sequin dress, there will most definitely be something velvet and of course the Christmas color red should never miss! That’s why this year’s gift guide is probably more for us, but why shouldn’t we indulge a little ourselves as well! Happy Holidays! Wiesn Style Guide

It’s that time of the year again… No, not christmas, or Halloween, but one of the oldest German traditions – Oktoberfest! Nowadays, the Wiesn is not only celebrated in Bavaria but all over the country. Especially in Berlin there are numerous Oktoberfest events and all the cool Berlin girls are suddenly into heart-shaped clutches, cute embroideries and dirndl dresses… Crazy no less! We have to admit: we will be putting on a dirndl and dancing to some folk music this year too! Because it’s fun and some traditions are worthy to be celebrated. This year we will attend the Wiesn at Café am neuen See, one of Berlin’s most beautiful locations. You have to buy your ticket in advance, but it’s totally worth it. Check out the FB event… And see you there! Of course, every Wiesn party needs a proper Wiesn outfit. That’s why we were heading to  Zalando and found some beautiful dirndl dresses and accessoires! We can only recommend heading to the page, maybe you still need some last minute Wiesn piece …

Hugo Boss. The Scent

Boss The Scent is the smell of a hard-working, cosmopolitan, sensual, elegant and strong woman. When I first smelled the fragrant, I was instantly hooked and thought it was the perfect combination of sexy and sweet. It is quite intense and has a note of cocoa. I also instantly liked the elegant bottle, it somehow reminds me of New York’s skyscrapers like the Empire State Building and I have to think about the time I lived in that huge and mesmerizing city not so long ago… What To Wear with this scent

Shopping & Food in Berlin: The Store

The Store in Berlin is a unique concept, which is mixing gastronomy, co-working and shopping. It is a hang-out for startup founders and freelancers, spending their day working on their MacBooks and sipping cappuccinos. It also is a store for modern street style, decorative items, books and music. And lastly, if that wasn’t enough already, it’s a restaurant for breakfast and lunch. The lunch always consists of five different salads, that go together in a bowl and are always healthy and delicious. I can also highly recommend their cold-pressed juices, which are actually made by hand and on-site in a small juicery truck – try the Beetroot, Pineapple, Ginger! Look Up Now

We all want to enjoy our own little summer, let it be at home on the balcony or at the beach far away. Luckily we have something that brings you into the mood for warm days and mild nights. Look Up Now – Life is surprising is the new summer fragrance by Mexx and is available for women and men. Both are refreshing and the ideal travel companion since they also come in hand luggage sizes (smallest for women is 15ml, for men 30ml). In cooperation with HeadspacePR and Mexx

Shopping in Copenhagen: HAY Design Store

As I already mentioned in previous posts Copenhagen is a Mecca for interior lovers. So is their HAY design store, located directly in the city center. In recent years HAY has created a row of modern design classics, like their famous chairs, the clever use of bold colors and exceptional design of everyday items like stationary, pencils and much more. I personally also love their classic rosé gold hangers, instantly upgrading your wardrobe. HAY design store Ostergade 61 Copenhagen, Denmark

All Black & Lace Inspiration

Beyonce’s formation video, Vogue shoots, black lace is everywhere right now. And we can say: we love it. The challenge is somehow to find the right mixture between lingerie and street wear, not overdoing it. The clue is mostly to mix black lace with cool accessories, like biker boots and leather bags. Or in summer a black lace bustier even goes with a ripped jeans shorts, creating a festival look.
