Food in Copenhagen: Torvehallerne

When in Kopenhagen you should definitely visit the Torvehallerne, a high end food market that offers many different food stands of either already prepared food or luxurious groceries. There is a small patio between the two market halls, that also hosts food and drinking stands as well as a small farmer’s market and colorful flower stands. All Black Everything

We try to at least once a weak meet for coffee, blog talk and snapping some pictures. Because we both work full time and study as well, sometimes it is hard to find time. But somehow, we always manage! We love that Berlin has so many quiet and nice streets, that are also green with flowers. It just  very much feels like home.

Culture in Berlin: Gems of Tutu Art

What dreams are made of… On the 23rd of May the Staatsballett Berlin presented the costume exhibition “Gems of Tutu Art” to the public. Curated by Lorenzo Caprile and Dorothea Katzer at Bikini Berlin. The two curators have selected the most beautiful costumes from the collection of the Staatsballett Berlin. The selection reaches from classical tutus of the Romantic ballets to modern interpretations. The exhibition can be visited from 23 to 31 May 2016 during the opening times of the mall. So be quick and visit this temporary exhibition. Bikini Berlin Budapester Straße 38 – 50 10787 Berlin What To Wear

Culture in Copenhagen: Rosenborg Castle

Another must-see in Copenhagen is the Rosenborg. It’s a beautiful Dutch Renaissance style castle, that has a small base but was build high, reaching in the sky. It was used by Danish regents as a royal residence until 1710. Inside, you can visit the original rooms with baroque furniture transporting you back in time. Outside you can enjoy the country’s oldest royal garden. Rosenborg Castle Øster Voldgade 4 1350 København

Kopenhagen Photo Diary I

Last weekend I was lucky enough to visit Kopenhagen with my boyfriend. At first, honestly, I was expecting a rather small and calm city. However, my expectations were exceeded completely! Kopenhagen is a beautiful, interesting, design affiliate, artful, easy-going city with a high quality of life. We actually managed to walk through the whole city in one weekend, our favorite districts definitely being the area near Nyhavn and the city centre. We can highly recommend to visit Rosenborg and Amalienborg, take a boat tour starting at Nyhavn, visit the Rundetaarn and just stroll through all the beautiful narrow streets. I also loved that there are so many interior design and lightning shops!

Above Berlin

Do you know this feeling? The feeling when you visit a location that just takes your breath away? Through our time in New York we have been lucky to often see the city from above and admire the hectic world beneath. These spots, where you can see Berlin from above, have also been growing stronger in the last couple of years. But sometimes there are still these roof views that seem so unreal. During a special project we got the chance to snap some pictures on the roof of the hotel Sofitel in Berlin.

Sweet Treat in Leipzig: Marshalls Mum

During a short weekend get-away to Leipzig I visited this cute litte café serving delicious sweet treats. Marshalls Mum is located in the south of Leipzig and offers a welcoming atmosphere. They are mainly known for their cupcakes (also vegan ones) but also offer fresh cakes, brownies and macaroons. The coffee they serve has a really good flavor and along normal milk they also offer soy and oat milk. If you plan to visit on the weekend I recommend to make a reservation. Price $$$$$ // Service ☆☆☆☆☆ // Location ☆☆☆☆☆ // Taste ☆☆☆☆☆ Marshalls Mum August-Bebel-Straße 1 04275 Leipzig

Nightlife in Berlin: Apartment Roof Top

Last weekend we all had a blast celebrating my boyfriend’s birthday at apartment roof club. The club is smaller than others, but has a beautiful roof terrace and interior design. The roof terrace offers a perfect location for a sun downer after a long day of work or, if the weather isn’t that nice, you can sit inside and enjoy a lovely view over Berlin. Breakfast in London: Briki

Briki is a Greek breakfast café and deli situated in the east of London. They offer a delicious granola with greek yoghurt, fruits and honey, as well as some baked goods and coffee. Besides their breakfast card they offer a nice lunch menu, also for take-away (the price is a little lower then). It is a cozy and simple spot for a quick breakfast or a coffee in the morning. You really must try their award winning coffee which is roasted from high-quality green coffee beans. Culture in Milan: Fondazione Prada

When I visited Milan some weeks ago, of course a must-see was the Fondazione Prada. It’s a modern and futuristic complex, filled with art and the café designed by Wes Anderson, Bar Luce. The Fondazione Prada is not necessarily what you would suspect from a complex build by a fashion house. The branding is very subtle, the design modern and the focus is on art rather than  fashion. The architecture behind this concept is Rem Koolhaas and his team OMA/AMO.
