Casual Coffee

Some laid-back pictures taken at a much needed coffee break some time ago. My time in Amsterdam is almost over and I am so grateful for all the experiences I made and everything I learned while I was here! Ace&Tate is one of the really cool labels that I found here in Amsterdam – all their sunglasses are unique and handmade. They offer highly dedicated customer service and their pop-up store in Amsterdam is the place where all the cool kids get their shades for the upcoming summer. Check out their website for store locations and the webshop! Leather jacket – Zara Clutch – Louis Vuitton Sunglasses – Ace&Tate

Tropical destination

This passt weekend the summer temperatures have reached us and we’ve been boiling in the sun. Therefore it was time to shop some new summer pieces which are suitable for every warm holiday destination. Here comes a little list of what you definitely should pack. 1. a jeans shorts An easy piece to wear from day to night. 2. a white blouse White always transports the feeling of ease and summer. 3. some fancy sandals Choose some with glittery details so you can where them both day and night 4. a white bikini (see under the blouse) Nothing more to say about this detail. All pieces can be bought at C&A Pictures by Johannes F. Räbel from JFRcreatives Location: Biosphäre Potsdam (thank you for helping us out!) In cooperation with C&A and StyleBook

The Internationalist

During my daily life I am definitely a sneakers girl. I love to walk around comfortably in my Nikes, because they usually are the best option for each weather and situation that may occur. That is also why I decided that I would like to add one really simple pair of Nikes to my selection, that I can wear with every outfit on many occasions. So when I found this pair of black-grey mid high Internationalists online I had to have them. And let me tell you a secret, I even got them a little cheaper than usual with a Cuponation voucher. They are made of a soft material mix of suede and have a rubber sole. Since they are mid height, they feel warm even if the weather is still a little colder. Altogether, one can walk, run, dance or do whatever in those Nikes and one’s feet will never get tired. Sneakers – Nike Sunglasses – Ace&Tate Top – New Look Blazer – H&M Jeans – Noisy May

Messy Hair, I don’t care

Everyone is getting ready for festival season. There would be no better outfit than our favorite worn-out ripped jeans (that we have owned for years and years but is still our favorite), a flowery and bright kimono, an airy top and some indie jewelry. Our recommendation? Check out the New Look online store for fancy festival styles and more. Noon in De Pijp

One of my favorite neighborhoods in Amsterdam is De Pijp. It is one of the hip, cool areas that hosts the Albert Cuyp market every day and has numerous cafés, restaurants and bars to hang out. Especially, the Sarphati Park is a nice place to enjoy the sun and maybe have a pick-nick with delicacies you just shopped at the food market around the corner! Green Amsterdam Backyards

In this simple outfit the focus clearly is on this beautiful, coral red dress by Kiomi. Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t too friendly in Amsterdam at this point in time, but I am already looking forward to combining this lovely dress with some strappy sandals and a lighter jacket in summer. This color definitely gets us into the mood for warmer degrees! Boots – Zara Dress – Kiomi Coat – Zara

Prinsengracht

Amsterdam style is rather laid back and tends to be practical. The ultimate test for each clothing item here is to determine whether you are able to ride a bike with it. That is why I mostly stick to comfy clothes and don’t struggle with complex outfits during daily life. Bag – Liebeskind Boots – Zara Leather jacket – Zara

White and Burgundy

A lovely Amsterdam Girls Weekend came to an end this morning but we got so many pictures and impressions to share with you – blogpost overflow for sure! These pictures we took a few weeks ago when Jana was on a visit in Berlin and it was so much fun hanging around the Gemäldegalerie in Berlin. Their shop, filled with so many good coffee books, is just a sensation. Blouse – Zara Boots – H&M

Your Inner Bond Girl

Sévérine played by Bérénice Marlohe 2012 / Skyfall Elektra King played by Sophie Marceau 1999 / The World Is Not Enough Dominique Derval played by Claudine Auger 1965 / Thunderball I don’t know why and I don’t know how this came, but since years I’m a huge James Bond fan. I love the movies and all the fuss about it (yes, speaking of the new James Bond movie hitting the cinemas this year). Last week they released a teaser for Spectre and I honestly watched it about five times. Daniel Craig is a great Bond and Christoph Waltz will probably blow our minds away as the bad guy. But besides bad guy good guy and a lot of action there is another very important aspect that marks the history of James Bond: the Bond Girls! A long list of victims, opponents, spies, playmates and heroines. All giving the right amount of sex appeal and coolness to the movies. Who wouldn’t want to be a Bond Girl? And guess what now everyone can challenge their inner Bond Girl with the new 007 FOR WOMEN …

Bikini Berlin

Bikini Berlin is a shopping center of another kind, a so-called concept mall. It features young, independent, critically chosen brands who should suit customers who are longing for a different experience from high-street brands. The salesrooms predominantly offer fashion and design items as well as some cafés and bars. The Bikini Berlin boxes are twenty shops that can be rented for the maximum duration of one year, in order to surprise the customer with a new experience every once in a while. Brands who are brave and flexible enough are welcome to test new retail concepts for a comparatively short period. Parker – IQ Berlin Jeans – Noisy May Shoes – H&M Blouse – Zara
