Book Recommendation: How to be Parisian

This book isn’t something new for the fashion crowd out there. But since it was just released in German we thought it would be great to share it once more. The book is funny from the beginning until the end. Caroline De Maigret along with three other French ladies tells all the women around the world how to be Parisian wherever you are. What key pieces you need to have in your closet and how, most important, your attitude and habits need to be. There are no long essays but great short entries and so many good quotes everyone should keep in mind from time to time. After reading this book you start to feel a little more what life is about. It’s about living, give yourself the chance to do so and don’t let too many people judge your life after all.

New York Mood

Time is running like crazy and soon we both will be located in New York. Jana arrived safely in the Big Apple and enjoys some free time before her intership kicks-off. I’m still in Berlin training and working before I will join Jana at the beginning of September. This will be a huge opportunity for both of us and we already got so many great things on our list. I got this black leather bag the other day and absolutely love it. It’s from the label Irene Van Ryb, never heard of it before but fallen for it straight away. You won’t believe how hard it is to find a good, not too over priced black leather bag. Was looking for so long, this will join me on my journey to New York… as well as the jacket, of course. Make me feel the warm, make me feel the cold.

Yesterday evening a spend a lovely girls night with some of our friends. We had homemade pizza, a delicious cucumber/feta salad, fresh melon with ham and cool drinks at a friends place. After this delicious dinner we headed to the cinema and watched Magic Mike XXL. Honest opinion? The first one was better. We missed the story somehow. Nevertheless the evening with the girls was a sensation and the weather was absolutely amazing! However the outfit combination here was taken on Thursday before our dinner at the Grace restaurant. Make sure to take a look at our post about this place! Shirt – H&M Blazer – Zara Sandals – Zara Necklace – Sence Copenhagen

Summer Whites & Denim Blues

Even though the weather is a little dull today we are happy to share with you a very summery outfit. In our opinion every girl should own a nice pair of white jeans or trousers for the summer season. It brightens up every outfit combination and you get an instant feeling of freshness. We got so many plans ahead of us this and next week that we will be having a lot of content to share with you in the next couple of weeks.. no months! Plus there are some serious chances coming to Midnight Couture – make sure to follow us on Instagram or Facebook so you get the details soon. Blouse – Zara Sunglasses – Ace & Tate Sandals – New Look

#HashMag Blogger Lounge

These days we prefer to attend blogger events during Fashion Week, since you can meet new people and chat a little and there’s always a nice relaxed atmosphere. On Tuesday we attended the #HashMag Blogger Lounge in Berlin Mitte and it was a really nice experience. We loved the idea to invite all bloggers to make their own floral wreaths. We both are always in for some handicraft work, to build something beautiful on your own always gives you a good feeling! After the event we headed to dinner at the Grace restaurant. We’ll give you an update about that night soon so stay tuned!

Knotted Leather

It’s fashion week time in Berlin thus there are so many exciting events and things to see! We have a tight schedule but still try to attend a few highlights. This afternoon you will be able to meet us at the #HashMAG Blogger Lounge and afterwards we will be heading to the Cinema Paris and watch the movie “Dior & I” – a perfect girls night out!

Messy Hair, I don’t care

Everyone is getting ready for festival season. There would be no better outfit than our favorite worn-out ripped jeans (that we have owned for years and years but is still our favorite), a flowery and bright kimono, an airy top and some indie jewelry. Our recommendation? Check out the New Look online store for fancy festival styles and more. Ten Things I learned when living in Paris

1. Paris is the place build of the most beautiful and romantic architecture. Full stop. It is a pleasure and privilege to be able to walk through these countless beautiful streets and see all the famous monuments. 2. After my time in Paris I am now officially unable to eat crêpes in any other country than France. Others just don’t get it – they never taste the same. You can find my favorite crêpes store in Montmartre, in Rue des Abbesses. 3. When in Paris, you should stick to drinking black coffee. It is a waste of time and effort to try to get a nice cappuccino – the Parisians don’t believe in milky mix drinks really. And you won’t regret it since the black coffee is just far better in France! 4. The French style is a unique token of elegance in this world. It is hard to imitate and even harder to learn but it is the real deal. Only French women manage to look this elegant in a striped t-shirt and jeans …

Green Amsterdam Backyards

In this simple outfit the focus clearly is on this beautiful, coral red dress by Kiomi. Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t too friendly in Amsterdam at this point in time, but I am already looking forward to combining this lovely dress with some strappy sandals and a lighter jacket in summer. This color definitely gets us into the mood for warmer degrees! Boots – Zara Dress – Kiomi Coat – Zara
