Cool Blue

I’m back home for a short while now… Enjoying the warm and sunny weather in my favorite hometown Berlin. Our plans this weekend include a ballet performance, concert and sunbathing at more than 30 degrees. What are your plans for the coming days? Dress – Vila Sandals – New Look

My ten favorite Places in Amsterdam

1. CT Coffee and Coconuts is the best place in Amsterdam to have breakfast. Apart from this, I love the cozy yet exotic atmosphere the place has. 2. The Skylounge Amsterdam has a panoramic view of the whole metropolis. It is the perfect place to sit on the roof terrace and enjoy some cocktails with your friends. 3. If you are a fan of architecture, a stroll through Herengracht, Keizergracht and Prinsengracht should be enough to amaze your eye. 4. I love to buy my groceries at the Albert Cuyp Market. The De Pijp area is lovely and there are many small boutiques and cafés along the way. 5. The Vondel Park is Amsterdam’s biggest green oasis. You can go there for a run or a walk and observe many happy dogs playing in the meadows. 6. The EYE film museum doesn’t only show interesting exhibitions, it is also an architectural eye-catcher with a lot of wide space and sharp edges. Have a coffee or drink on the terrace or visit the restaurant. 7. The National Opera & Ballet house at Waterlooplein …

Casual Coffee

Some laid-back pictures taken at a much needed coffee break some time ago. My time in Amsterdam is almost over and I am so grateful for all the experiences I made and everything I learned while I was here! Ace&Tate is one of the really cool labels that I found here in Amsterdam – all their sunglasses are unique and handmade. They offer highly dedicated customer service and their pop-up store in Amsterdam is the place where all the cool kids get their shades for the upcoming summer. Check out their website for store locations and the webshop! Leather jacket – Zara Clutch – Louis Vuitton Sunglasses – Ace&Tate

Noon in De Pijp

One of my favorite neighborhoods in Amsterdam is De Pijp. It is one of the hip, cool areas that hosts the Albert Cuyp market every day and has numerous cafés, restaurants and bars to hang out. Especially, the Sarphati Park is a nice place to enjoy the sun and maybe have a pick-nick with delicacies you just shopped at the food market around the corner! Lacoste Blogger Workshop

Some days ago, we were lucky enough to be invited to the Lacoste blogger event in Frankfurt am Main, where their male perfume collection “Eau de Lacoste” was presented. We had an exceptionally lovely day and were welcomed warmly by the team of Headspace PR. What followed was a perfect mix of hanging out with lovely people, enjoying the sun, learning and discovering interesting facts about perfume and indulging a delicious menu. We enjoyed a menu created in all five colors of the fragrance line – blue, red, white, yellow and black. For each course, the table decoration was adjusted so it would fit the color of the respective dish, in order to fortify the colored experience. One of this day’s highlights was that we were able to assist the great cooking team with the two main courses and were especially happy to learn some tips how to prepare the recipes ourselves. Apart from this, a professional color psychologist and the Lacoste perfume developer enlightened the group with intriguing knowledge about scents and their different appeals. All in all, we can tell …

Green Amsterdam Backyards

In this simple outfit the focus clearly is on this beautiful, coral red dress by Kiomi. Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t too friendly in Amsterdam at this point in time, but I am already looking forward to combining this lovely dress with some strappy sandals and a lighter jacket in summer. This color definitely gets us into the mood for warmer degrees! Boots – Zara Dress – Kiomi Coat – Zara

Prinsengracht

Amsterdam style is rather laid back and tends to be practical. The ultimate test for each clothing item here is to determine whether you are able to ride a bike with it. That is why I mostly stick to comfy clothes and don’t struggle with complex outfits during daily life. Bag – Liebeskind Boots – Zara Leather jacket – Zara

White and Burgundy

A lovely Amsterdam Girls Weekend came to an end this morning but we got so many pictures and impressions to share with you – blogpost overflow for sure! These pictures we took a few weeks ago when Jana was on a visit in Berlin and it was so much fun hanging around the Gemäldegalerie in Berlin. Their shop, filled with so many good coffee books, is just a sensation. Blouse – Zara Boots – H&M

Bikini Berlin

Bikini Berlin is a shopping center of another kind, a so-called concept mall. It features young, independent, critically chosen brands who should suit customers who are longing for a different experience from high-street brands. The salesrooms predominantly offer fashion and design items as well as some cafés and bars. The Bikini Berlin boxes are twenty shops that can be rented for the maximum duration of one year, in order to surprise the customer with a new experience every once in a while. Brands who are brave and flexible enough are welcome to test new retail concepts for a comparatively short period. Parker – IQ Berlin Jeans – Noisy May Shoes – H&M Blouse – Zara

Eugene Onegin

We both are hopeless lovers of classical Ballet and try to see a performance whenever we get the opportunity. Recently, we saw the interpretation of “Onegin” by the Berliner Staatsballett (choreography by John Cranko) and we both agreed that it was one of the best performances we ever saw in Berlin. The characters were very well danced and also played with an expressiveness that has been unmatched so far. As far as we know there is still another performance taking place in April, so if you are interested in dancing, we can only warmly recommend not to miss it.
