Shopping in Berlin: Schee

I love to discover new little boutiques and shops in my neighborhood. One store that I recently stumbled across is Schee, located in Bleibtreustraße. So we went to check it out last weekend. The store is a lovely mix of interior and decoration accessories, cards and books, prints and textiles. In my opinion one of the addresses to go for when you’re searching for a present for a friend or family member! We really liked how elaborate and carefully selected the selection of items was – every piece was special! They also have another store in Berlin located at Rosenthaler Straße (close to the underground station Rosenthaler Platz, Mitte). We definitely want to visit that one too. Embroidered Jeans

The long Easter weekend lays ahead of us and we do hope for some better weather than the forecast gives us. We haven’t planed much and will rather try to regain some strength and relax with our families. Next week university starts again and I’m not so motivated but hope the excitement will kick in as soon as I meet my fellow students. After such a long university-free-time it can be a real pain to go back and study. The past weeks haven’t been easy and I was researching and writing two essays. I didn’t go on holiday and the next weeks will be filled with new lectures and rehearsals for our up-coming ballet. Coffee in Berlin: earlybean

Last week we tried this coffee spot called earlybean, located in Berlin Charlottenburg at the Meyerinckplatz. It’s a small café severing freshly brewed coffee and small dishes such as salmon bagels and yoghurt with granola. The atmosphere is cozy and you can easily sit here for one or two hours. Besides the hot beverages, you can also indulge in one of their freshly made smoothies. We haven’t tried those yet because it was just too cold that morning but are happy to come back and give them a shot. Metallic Stripes

That’s what my basic everyday outfits look like – my favorite jeans (which is mostly the same brand to be honest – they just fit like a glove!), a black shirt, my new leather jacket, that I already love, and the most comfy sneakers! We’re aware that Adidas superstars and stan smiths are everywhere right now but as soon as I wore them, I knew why! They fit casually to every outfit and are super comfortable. Pink stripes

We loved to be styled by the talented people of Shan’s True Beauty situated at Kurfürstendamm. For some reason, Shan’s Beauty always manages to give my hair a lot of volume that is staying for days! Since it was still a little chilly in Berlin, I decided to wear my fur vest on top of the shirt, combined with my favorite boot cut jeans – some think it’s too 60’s but I totally love the style! Beauty in Berlin: Shan’s Beauty

A couple of days ago, we spent a more than lovely morning at Shan’s True Beauty Lounge, situated directly at Kurfürstendamm. We really loved that, finally, there’s a similar concept in Berlin as the New York one, which are „blow dry“ bars, where you can go and let your hair be washed and styled so that you can start the day right! Apart from the brilliant hairstyling we also got some beautiful manicures. There is a variety of nail polishes to choose from – all lovely colors. Altogether, we can only recommend to check out Shan’s Beauty Lounge if you have a minute, you can just walk in without an appointment! The prices are also moderate – you’ll get a manicure with nail polish for 20€ and a blow dry for 35€. Homemade Bircher Müsli

It has become somewhat of a routine for me – lately, I always prepare my breakfast in advance in order to safe time in the morning. For that reason, I love to prepare bircher muesli, because it is easy, delicious and healthy at the same time! I always prepare a big bowl that lasts a whole week in the fridge and top it with fresh berries to get some extra freshness. To be honest, I normally mix the bircher muesli by feel and put in what I like at the time. Here’s a rough recipe: two parts spelt oats (I always take the fine ones, so it gets really creamy!) cranberries raisins dried apricots shredded coconut one fresh apple (cut in tiny pieces) a dash of cinnamon soy milk I mix all the dry ingredients and stir them until mixed through. Then I fill it up with soy milk so that everything is covered. Leave in the fridge over night and enjoy every day!

Flower Choker

I have been indecisive about the choker trend for quite a while – until I found this perfect, spring-blouse with a bright flower pattern and choker design. It instantly lifts my mood and makes me happy! I love to either wear it with some skinny jeans or as well with my favorite boot cut ones. A trench coat is always a safe bet to accompany the outfit. Classy Breakfast on a Rainy Morning

Looking still a bit tired but happy – the other day we went to Benedict for breakfast and it was awesome. We sipped on peach mimosas, had some vegan cashew yoghurt with granola, of course the most delicious pancakes and some bread with spreads. Afterwards, we tried to snap some outfit pictures for you despite the heavy rain. Today the sun is shining again and we wish you a super great start into the weekend! Light Blue

While taking these pictures we were once again reminded that we live in a city where rain is inevitable. So we headed to Walter-Benjamin-Platz, a square named after the philosopher Walter Benjamin. The adjoining Leibniz colonnades offer the right protection for some outfit snaps (and yes, we have taken here some pictures before. Take a look here and here). The light blue jacket is from the current Zara collection and also available in a light pink pastel shade. A friend of mine wore it and I instantly fell in love with it. So, as soon as I got home I ordered it online and got it delivered a few days later. I actually didn’t think of really buying it in the end but somehow it was just too gorgeous to send back.
